We'll be staying for two weeks at the VWL/BCV in a studio. I want to bring along our PS2 game console for the kids to play games and watch DVD's. Has anyone done this? I'm wondering if the TV's have hookups you can access for this. Thanks for any info.

34 days and counting!!:)

All DVC studio TV's have no RCA jacks (Found out the hard way). We brought our PS2 down to double as a DVD player for the kids and had to buy the "RFU Adaptor" (it plugs into the Coax like the older systems used to), we went to Wall Mart in Kissimmee since we were in Fla already. Local stores that carry PS2's will have them with the accessories.

:smooth:

Thanks for responding Gigashadow! That's exactly the info I needed. One of my children's tv's has that already, I think. You can not plug the PS2 jack straight into the TV, had to get an adaptor with a coax end, and the PS2 jack plugs into that. I'll be sure to pack it. So how did it work out for your family as far as watching movies and playing games? Was it worth taking it? Where did you stay? We'll be at VWL and BCV.

Thanks again for the info!:D

I don't know how old your kids are, but I wouldn't bother bringing them. Just let them use their gameboys if they have to. We have the VCP in the car and it can hook up to other TV's, but its really too much hassle. I always thought Disney had enough on TV anyway( I can't seem remember? I'm always watching the DVC channel). Besides my kids are always so tired at night they can't keep their eyes open.

Thanks for the info on the studio TVs!! I've been looking for this same information.

My kids are teens and we are at WDW often, so we do tend to spend more "relax" time in the room and at the pool. The kids really enjoy the free DVD rentals at BCV and we were afraid we wouldn't be able to take advantage of that with a studio this summer.

I'll be packing the PS2 and the adapter!

We took our PS2 game with us last year to BCV. We did have a 2 bedroom, and the TV did accomodate the RF cables. As far as I am concerned, it was well worth bringing for the kids. We have three 6 yo's and one 4 yo. It came in handy during our "rest times" during the day. Not to say, we also got some of the "free" rentals during the evening for me and the DW. Depending on the ages of your kids, I always like the option of having a distraction when I need it. :jester:

BraveMom3: We have stayed at OKW and VWL so far and the PS2 worked out great to give us quiet time during the day and before bedtime for the kids (On Disney vacations bedtime = 12am'ish in their eyes DS-7 & DD-5 - lol). Also I forgot to add this tidbit, disconnect the room cable completely when using the PS2 if the screen seems "fuzzy" - It is a result of the resort "overamplifying" the cable signal for the amount of TV's hooked up to the system.

Tinkrbell: My kids will deny beign tired, they can almost fall asleep standing. lol.

RX MAN: There are never enough distraction times in a day is there!
