Hi

Is it possible to play Sims on laptops? My daughter is thinking of buying a Toshiba laptop (pretty inexpensive one, $730) and wants to know if she´ll be able to play Sims on it? :confused3

Yep, I play the Sims on my laptop all the time. Just make sure to get an up to date video card, and plenty of GB and memory and whatever else you need.

Thanks! Do you have any idea what kind of video card that has to be?

I bought a laptop a couple of months ago JUST to be able to play SIMS on!!

Our desktop didn't have a good enough video card and playing SIMS was super s-l-o-w, it would take anywhere from 15-20 minutes to change screens if I wanted my SIMS to "go downtown" and it would take that long, or longer, to "save" the game when I was done.

Got sick of that! Went to Best Buy and when looking at laptops they ask you what you are planning on using it for. I told them basically playing SIMS so I ended up with an HP Pavillion Entertainment PC.

It has a 17" widescreen and it is SO MUCH FUN PLAYING SIMS NOW!!

It takes only a minute or so to change screens when they "go downtown" and just a few seconds to "save" the game.

Whatever laptop you buy, just make sure it has a good video card for game playing.

I'm not sure if you are talking about The Sims, or The Sims 2.
I've played TS2 since July on my Gateway laptop and it runs with all the expansion packs beautifully.
