I know it was said that they're revamping, but I can't find anything about when it's closing or if it already has. Anybody know? I'm hoping we get one more shot at it next week.

Edit: Looks like I may have found something saying it's closed already. Darn it :(

It closed earlier this month. The new show is supposed to start in summer. Which could mean late May, early September, or anywhere in between.

Thank you! This was our last shot because we'll all have outgrown it by next time we go. Maybe my 6 year old will forget we mentioned it. HAH!

As SMD said, the original show has already closed. The new show isn't slated to open until May 26 (the same day as Mission: Breakout and the kickoff to the Summer of Heroes), so it won't be open in time for your trip. I thought Disney Junior was a cute show and I'm curious to see what the Disney Junior Dance Party will be like (although as you said, the kids keep getting older, so they might not be terribly interested in going to it the next time we go to the park).

My mother was really hoping for another nap in the air conditioned darkness. LOL!

There's always Path of the Jedi in Tomorrowland, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln on Main Street, and It's Tough to Be a Bug in DCA (although, this one is a bit tougher because of the effects)...those might work as darkened air conditioned places...

HAHA Good suggestions. Tough to be a Bug might be a rough one but maybe I'll send her to Lincoln if she needs a good nap. LOL

Assuming it is like the DJ Dance party that DHS had during EMH they play Disney tunes with the bubble machine on, a balloon artist and 3-4 characters out at a time, they won't pose or sign just dance

That's pretty lame IMO

That was something they had in the past. This is an actual show based on the newer Mickey and the Roadster TV show. I imagine they will be trying to get the young ones to get up and dance throughout the show, but it will not be like the DJ Dance party.

From the Disney Parks Blog, "You and your little ones will love “Disney Junior Dance Party,” a high-energy, live show experience that takes its inspiration from the most popular Disney Junior shows on TV, including the new series “Mickey and the Roadster Racers,” as well as “Doc McStuffins,” “Sofia the First” and “The Lion Guard.” The show is set to include live appearances from some of your favorite characters, fun music from Disney Junior and much more."

I'm sad we'll miss it this time then. Ah well. Onward and upward, huh?
