I didn't know where to post this...there's really no area (that I found in my brief looking) where we can talk about shows that are Disney, just not AT Disney. Recently (with in the last 2 months) the girls in my girl scout troop decided they wanted to spend some of their saved money from nut sales on Playhouse Disney live! tickets. GREAT show, don't get me wrong...the music was wonderful, the actors were very good and it was very entertaining.
We got the 'group rate' tickets. We were very upset with how the stage was set up. ALL of the people with 'group rate' tickets were seated along the sides of the bleachers. I've heard that ALMOST all of the 'group rate tix' are done this way. The side seats were 'limited view' for most of our group. The tickets at this show were not NEARLY sold out...in fact, the section over from us had a perfect view and they were 1/2 empty. When I spoke to the woman who was in charge of our section, just a few minutes before the show started she told us she'd get a manager- when the manager came, he told us we couldn't move. those seats never filled...there were 14 of us and about 50-70 seats open one section over (they all paid the general admission price)...
I understand that we paid $2 less per ticket, but why in the heck should we have had to sit in such crummy seats when the event wasn't even 1/2 sold out?
Sure, we could see MOST of the stage, but there were certain things that we missed. The girls were kind of upset.
Also, for a ticket that cost THAT MUCH- the show only lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes! Since when does a show like this end so quickly? If there's a reason, I'd really like to know. Does anyone here work in a show like this one? Why can't they make it go for 2 hours. ALL of the other shows I've been to have lasted AT LEAST 1 hr. 45 minutes to 2 hours.
The quality of the show was great, the actors and actresses did a wonderful job- but the seating situation and length of the show were not to be excited about!
