I saw the Doodlebops yesterday and the show was GREAT, but no Bus Driver Bob! I LOVE HIM!
Anyway, it is a little crazy with the way they are doing the ticketing and letting people into the theater.
I am lucky that my parents went early yesterday morning and were able to get us tickets for the 1:15p show. They waited in a long line to get the ticket and then waited from about 12noon in line to be able to get into the theater.
We got there at 12:30p and met them. They allowed us to enter the outside holding area of ABC Theater--but we were held there for 20-25 minutes in a MAJOR crowd with no air, no room to breathe. We were dripping with sweat, I honestly thought I was about to pass out. My 19 month old dd had bright red cheeks from the heat.
At one point, I thought "this isn't worth it", I was looking for a way to get out but it was too packed we couldn't move. FINALLY, they opened the theater doors which had been EMPTY (we could see in through a crack in the door) and blasting A/C.
The show was great, my dd really enjoyed it. I was planning to try to see the Wiggles as we live in Orlando, but after my experience yesterday just getting into the theater, I think I will rent a Wiggles DVD and stay home.
I am just so fortunate that we had my parents to get us tickets and wait in line for us. My dd wouldn't have tolerated all the waiting in the heat.
It's a shame that it is for preschoolers who don't have much patience, that it isn't better organized.
Good luck to those of you about to go! Bring spray fans, water, ice buckets, to keep you from passing out in the holding area.
It was a GREAT SHOW though!
