I know this is a bit off topic but is DANIEL COOK the son of MURRAY COOK of the Wiggles. I say yes and DH says no but I can't find anything on the web. Does anybody know? (plus maybe a reference to show hubby??)

No. Daniel Cook is from Canada. Murray is from Australia. Also, we went to a Wiggles show last summer and the Wiggles brought our their kids, and from what i can remeber, Murray only had a little girl...she was probably about 3 or 4 at the time.

I have found the same info but on the end of the Daniel Cook credits it thanks DEBORAH and MURRAY COOK. How many Murray Cook's can there be??

Nope. Murray Cook has two kids, daughter Georgia and son Hamish. Daniel is from Canada and not related. I had to double check the kids names but they are on imdb.

Everything you ever wanted to know or not about just about every movie ever made and the people in them. Great website!

Lots of information and biographys as well. Really handy if you can't remember the name of a movie or the name of someone in it, you can usually find it if you remember one of the characters or the movie title.

So, am I the only one who thinks Daniel Cook is LAME? The kid has the personality of a turnip. :rolleyes2 Surely there are more outgoing kids in that age range that could do that type of show...

Ha! I think so too! The best thing about Daniel Cook is his theme song

It always seems to me that he is being "made" to seem interested. I think the police episode is the first one I actually saw a little excitement.

Daniel Cook is definitely Canadian...he's from Ontario. He even did a bit of work as a reporter for our recent federal elections. I don't love the show, but our DD does!

Aww, I love Daniel Cook. Even my DH likes watching him. I think the appeal is that he's NOT the typical kid on TV. He's just an average kid who is easily distracted and he's fun to watch in situations that most average kids don't get to experience. The show wouldn't be the same if he was one of those perfect, scripted, freakishly beautiful kids you usually see on TV.

Fair enough! ;) I just wish he had more personality - I agree I'm quite tired of seeing "perfect" kids (or adults for that matter) on TV all the time. He just doesn't ever seem excited about anything.

I have always wondered too, who saw this kid audition and thought "he would be perfect for this". I mean, he is cute, but they could have got a kid with a bit of emotion. I have to admit though, that is part of the reason I occasionally watch Daniel Cook. I laugh at how uninteresting he is, yet I also think that is his appeal. I prefer watching him to watching those perfectly scripted "Stepford" children that are on any of the Welch's grape juice commercials. Those kids are so annoyingly cutesy that they give me the creeps.

Your not alone on that one!!! My daughter who is 4 thinks he is goofy! I think the show could be a great addition to the DC if there was a more appealing "star". Maybe the thought was to go with a very average type, who was not in your face with personality...if so, they hit on target!

Well, how excited should he get about going to the dentist, trying new fruits, etc? The show is pretty much about normal, everyday stuff. I like that he isn't a stepford kid like most kids on TV, and he acts normal doing normal things...not all freakishly excited about making paper or whatever.

I think the show is supposed to show a normal kid doing normal everyday things. I think he's awesome. :)

Not to be mean or anything but he is just like a little autistic boy that I used to work with. Daniel is very smart but has these little annoying quirks about him but He just seems "off"....

I think the Daniel Cook mini shows are so funny! My 10-month old even laughs when it is on! I don't know which I like better, though...the skit with the bocci balls or the breakdancing one.
My DH and I get a huge kick out of him.

I like the edisode where he's making paper. The poor girl who's helping him has absolutely no patience to deal with a kid. It's hilarious.
