Hi all!

I'll probably be asking lots of questions in the next 2 weeks as we get ready to go to DW with my 10 month old (well, he'll turn 10 mos while we're there). I've been to DW numerous times but I've never really payed attention to kids stuff.

Anyway, I know there are little playground areas in the parks but would you say they are safe for little ones? He crawls and I wouldn't be surprised if he's toddling by then.

Thanks!

The one play area that my dd (2) played in so much on our last trip was the one right across from Splash Mountain. There were a variety of ages in there playing at different times. I would say a baby who is beginning to toddle should be fine as long as it's not too crowded. We were there for Thanksgiving and the week after, and it was never too crowded for us in that play area. There were even times when there were only one or two other kids plus my dd. Also, for the most part parents seemed to be good about keeping the bigger kids out and letting the little ones play safely. This was my favorite play area because of it's small size. It's also easy for crawlers and new walkers to enjoy themselves (again, as long as it's not overly crowded or overrun with big kids).

My kids played a little bit at Donald's boat and the play area right beside it. I don't like it as much for really little ones, though, because it's harder to see them at all times and there are bigger kids who play in those areas.

We also spent a good bit of time at the AK dig site and playground. They both really liked that. The playground there has a small section with two small toddler slides.

I have never played at the one at POR, but I hear it is good! I have had the kids play in Donald's boat, and the play area in Animal Kingdom (dino land) is really good!

If you son is anything like my kids, he will have so much fun watching the wonderful world of Disney go by from the stroller! There is so much stimulation!

The babycare centers!!!! They have bright colorful rooms with toys.

There is a play area across from Donalds boat in MK that is for the younger crowd. The other playgrounds tend to be a little "crazy" :rotfl: and are intended for older children.

Children must be under 40" to play in Toon Park (Across from Donalds Boat)

Honey I shrunk the Kids at Studios-
The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure is for children 4 years and older. Smaller adults may be able to move around in the tunnels and slides, but the areas really are scaled for children.

Boneyard at AK-The Boneyard is for children 4 years and older. Smaller adults may be able to move around in the tunnels and slides, but the areas really are scaled for children.

I don't think there is a playground at Epcot right now.

Each resort also has a small play area.

We were there last year with DD18mo. She really liked the Pooh Corner park and wanted to keep going back (it wasnt crowded though while we were there)
In Epcot she loved the little Tinkerbell playplace -I can think of the actual name of it but it had a tinkerbell cottage and little tunnels. It may have been in Canada.

I had no idea there was such a thing! How cool! Does anyone know for sure where this is?

It was temporary as part of the Flower and Garden event last year. It was at the end of Future World just before World Showcase

Thanks for the quick reply! We'll be there in May. Isn't that during Flower and Garden Festival? Do you know if they have that play area (or something like it) each year at F&G?
