Play N Dine at Hollywood & Vine with the Playhouse Disney Pals

Though I cant stand them, my kids may like it, anyone seen a menu?

My kids will get a big kick out of this one and we'll have fun doing it... but hopefully Disney will get the PIXAR thing worked out and switch it to a Toy Story meal in the future.

Looks great to me!! Youngest Dd would love it, middle one too. Maybe next time.
Mickey's for everyone of every age, so I don't feel any certain age is being left out at any of these meals. There's stitch at O'hana, Princesses all over the place...I feel it's fairly covered. :) Toy Story would be a fun one too,but no deal yet.

Maybe they just wanted to get this meal in place and get it going and when they get things ironed out on the Pixar characters, they'll switch it.

It could be a temporary thing for this year. Here's hoping anyway!

Oh so sad. I have three little ones all six and under, and I can honestly say they could care less about these characters...Toy Story now...would have really got them going....maybe I've just got strange kids? hehe.

Then mine must be strange too. They refuse to watch these shows!!! Even the 4 year old (who will watch most anything) asks me to change the channel if I stop on JoJo...

I guess we will have to count on a park other than Disney to cater to our boys. BUMMER!!

My 4 yr old doesn't really watch Jo Jo anymore (he used to love it), but he loves Little Einsteins. Unfortunately, we won't be going to Disney until April 2007, and he'll be 5 by then. I'm guessing Little Einsteins won't be high on his list of favorite characters by then.

While it is nice to see character dining at MGM this one will "not be for us" as it seems geared for the very young. That is not a bad thing, just something I am surprised about since it doesn't have a universal appeal like many of the other meals do. I know my youngest nieces and nephews would be all over this so I'm sure it will be popular.

It's great for the really little ones.

But BOOOOOO for the the rest of us!!

This really surprises me because it doesn't seem like a money maker for Disney. I mean, who will be interested in these characters - those very little. And those usually eat free at Disney (under 3).

But, if they had a Toy Story Meal, they would get my family who has 2 kids OVER 9, so we would have to pay for 4 "adults". They would make more per family of 4. Right?

Plus, MGM isn't toddler friendly. Maybe they think this will give the little ones something to do?? But is this meal enough to draw the families there or will it bomb because the families don't bring their little ones there???

so disappointed, think that by picking playhouse disney charactars (?), they're limiting their target audience...once again, boys are left in the disney dust.;)

I, too, hope that they transition to a more wide-appealing theme. Lots of people w/o kids do enjoy charactar breakfasts.
Curious, I've seen lots of pre-schoolers screaming in terror when approached upclose by charactars. H&V is really noisy to begin with, the din should be near ear-shattering.

I'll hop on as one of the REALLY PSYCHED ones about this meal. :Pinkbounc

I realize this is only for the really young crowd, but this park NEEDS something for the really young. It almost isn't worth entry to the parks for those of us with toddlers - they have all of about 2 things to enjoy (Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney Live). So now we'll at least also have a nice meal with some great characters.

I'm a huge fan of Little Einsteins- definitely one of my favorite kids shows - my 3 year old knows the names and sounds of many different musical instruments from watching this, so I like that it does have educational aspects.

I have my 8:00am ADR for my free dining in Sept. I love that I'll get into the park before opening too - and be ready to hop in line to child-swap first thing at TOT.

That's what I have been thinking too. Even if it won't be a long lived thing, why not get the meal going since a character meal of some kind has been missing from MGM for so long. This is especially true if the earlier indications were correct that the staff was already in place and being trained. Then, when they have things ironed out for a Pixar meal, all it will take to get up and running is a change out of the characters.

Until then, we will be enjoying the PHD meal on our next trip since DD is the perfect age.

Wont be much of a hit with my DD 4 yrs, told her about it and she said she wasnt interested????
So Disney youve missed out on our $s, I think its a shame its aimed at this age group, they already have CP and CM, what about kids 6ys plus? especailly boys!

Hope everyone who goes, has fun.

Oh good, I was hoping to see that someone had actually made an ADR. I want to call too, but didn't want to be bugging the CMs about a "rumored" meal. Off to call!

Disney seems to be making a major marketing effort for Disney Playhouse on-line. I bought a subscription for my DGS. He loves it and it is educational!! Maybe the breakfast is part of the marketing effort.

Well as a mom of teens I just want to say I am happy they wont be at the dinner buffet. Everyone else can enjoy their breakfast and lunch.

Sorry, not interested. Our kids are 9 and 12 and have never watched these shows. All those with younger children, hope you find it enjoyable!

It is good to see H&V back in full use again.

Oh I will have to agree that playhouse disney is not the way to go. My daughter is 4 and she is done and over with Jo Jo - probably at 3yrs old. While she loves the Little Einsteins, they are new and I am not sure she will like them as much in 3 months when we go.

Also the other thing I see here is how many families with kids over 5/6 are going to want to go even if they had a toddler/preschooler as well? This is geared towards an age group of 2-4yrs old and no one else. Seems strange to me. I will be curious how quickly this sells out...

Before complaining here though, make sure you are writing/emailing to Disney. If enough complain they may start to consider Toy Story. I have heard that Buzz is too big to get thru the tables but I think they could have Buzz in a waiting area sorta like Donald at CM and then have Woody, Jessie and Bullseye walking around
