plastic mattress covers at resorts?

I just read a live report from CSR that said that the mattresses now have plastic coverings, ostensibly to protect the beds from the dreaded bed bugs! Has anyone noticed these coverings at other WDW properties? If so, are they slippery or uncomfortable? I guess almost anything is better than bed bugs!!

Returned 2/11 from the Polynesian. My bed didn't have any plastic covering. Just the regular mattress pad.
