What should I do first as far as booking our trip? I don't want to book a package through WDW since I am saving up the $$ right now. Basically, I don't want to put it on the cc or make payments thru Disney.

I have $600.00 saved up right now (our trip isn't until 5/3/08-5/10/08). What should I book first? The hotel or the airfare? I figure I can wait to purchase the tickets until closer to the time we need to leave.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I personally would get the airfare tickets first. Sometimes if you change your date by a day or two you can get a really good fare. For example flying to and fro during the week and avoiding the weekend travel can save alot of money.

I know you said you didn't want to book through Disney, but I think they actually have a pretty decent plan. You pay $200 on a package- which you wanted- and then you don't have to pay anything else until 45 days out. If you book room only I think you pay off even closer to the date. I booked through Disney, so not sure of what other types of payment plans are out there (maybe check out AAA, or a Disney specialist travel agent) but this might be better than you were thinking at least.
