planning video

I am bummed. I orderd the planning video online before xmas.

1) it is VHS and I wanted a DVD
2) it is out of date. I am watching it right now and they are talking about park hopper passes. Nothing about MYW or the new EMH.

Too late to get the new one. We leave in 16 days!!!

Damn computers!! I ordered it too and just assumed it was the new version! This is why I prefer to talk to a real person sometimes!

Well think of it this way...you are seeing the real thing in about 2 weeks! How awesome is that! Look at MY timer.

You can pre-order the new one at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/myVacation/vpkEntryPage?id=VPKEntryPage or you can call CRO and request to pre-order the new one and request DVD. Disney will begin shipping these at the beginning February.

You also have the option of viewing it online.

Ahh - I had not heard that they were not shipping the new videos until Feb. That would explain why I got the old one.

Thanks for the tip about online viewing. Didn't know about that either.

Same thing happened to me. We'll be home before the new DVD's are available. I really didn't want it for planning, just wanted DS to have a visual so he would be excited. But I never wanted to do a gathering of lots of people, and the time they spend yammering on about bringing everyone you have ever met to WDW with you kind of wears on my nerves.

Boy do I hear you! The video was really pushing the magical gathering concept! Even with the "old" video, DD was happy to see the rides that she's be able to go on now since she's older and taller now.

I'll see ya there! At the resort the "newest sights" are on the TV and can update you. As far as getting excited, I listen to Disney radio almost everyday until I leave!

The pre-order is not available for Canadians. Very typical Disney.
