Planning to go off to Orlando for the first time solo!

Hi,

I'm from Ireland, I'm 23 and female and I'm planning on going on a 10 day trip solo at the end of September around the 19th - 28th this year and maybe again sometime next year with friends.

I got recommended this forum as it's my first time abroad going solo and to see if anyone will be in the area at that time.

I'm really going so I can visit Universal (especially Harry Potter land ) along with Disney and as many of the other attractions that I possible can do! I'll be staying around International drive and the attractions around it!

A bit nervous on going by myself so far, but I didn't want to spend this holiday doing nothing.

I hope you enjoy your trip to the US and really nothing can compare to WDW....it will blow you away...just remember to take it all in small bites....so much to see and do and plenty to keep you occupied and amused....enjoy..we'll be in WDW the week before you....

I just know you're going to LOVE going solo. I have gone to Disneyland solo tons of times and unlike how some people judge, it isn't weird or lonely at all, it's terrific! Happy planning!

WOW!, im quite surprised at how similar your situation is to mine.

Im 23 from Wales and have just started planning my first ever solo trip to Orlando for January 2012.

Iv'e never travelled solo before so there is so much to think about and plan. Im stupidly excited at the moment looking at all the options and trying to piece together the plan. Im sure your exactly the same lol.

Thanks for the lovely welcome! I'm definitely going to go now! Everyone I've said it too has told me that going solo is great, especial as I'm the only one I know that loves roller-coasters and other thrilling rides!

I'm just waiting on this months paycheck before I can book the flights and hotels (which I can't decide on as I keep finding lots to chose from)

I'm definitely going to do Universal for 2 days (maybe a third just for Harry Potter land ), the 4 Disney parks, Busch Gardens, Seaworld...maybe some shopping (even though I don't like it, I'm going to need to bring some nice shoes home with me!)
