Hi ~ Our planning session trip will be next month and I have a few questions as I prepare for it. :cool1:

1. I was wondering how long does the session usually last?
2. How long is the menu tasting?
3. Has anyone not had an EPCOT menu tasting due to another event?
4. Is it possible to have a site visit during the planning session? (we actually haven't seen the LSS reception site yet)

I don't want to rush any of the planning session, but I just want to use our time sufficiently!

I appreciate any input! :thanks:

Our PS was scheduled from 9am - 1pm and we walked out at 11:00am. Much of our event was already pretty well decided so much of the PS was just going over the scheduled events and deciding on the floral which didn't seem to take too long. Our menu tasting was the previous day and took about an hour and a half. I dunno about Epcot as our event is not there but I would bet a dollar that if your event is scheduled to be at LSS you would be able to see it. Be sure and email your WP to make sure it is scheduled into your PS.

My planning session is scheduled from 9AM - 1PM with a menu tasting from 2:30PM - 4:00PM. I did request a site visit at the same time but it wasn't mentioned. Maybe I should confirm this but I think in 4 hours there will be time to go from Francks to see the Whitehall Room. If you have a menu tasting in Epcot, I am sure they would be able to stop and show you the Living Seas.

We had our planning session this past January for my daughter's wedding it was scheduled like this for us.....

Tasting session at the Boardwalk from 10:30 to 12:00. Yes very earlier to taste dinner foods, (but it was very nice) they set up a room for you and the chef and planner are with you while you tatste and try to decide what you want on your menu.

The planning session was at Francks from 1pm to 5pm. We talked with our planner for quite a while, then she brought the cake sampler out for us to try. Then we met with the floral designer for a couple hours. We walked out of the session about 4:45pm.

It was a fun exhausting day... Enjoy it :goodvibes

we had ours at francks from 9-12 pm then our menu tasting was at the grand at 2:30pm

We did not get a menu tasting. Our event is at the Attic and the Boardwalk chefs were handling three big events the weekend we were there :sad1:

Hi ~ Our planning session trip will be next month and I have a few questions as I prepare for it. :cool1:

1. I was wondering how long does the session usually last? About 4 hours
2. How long is the menu tasting? About an hour plus transportation time depending on location
3. Has anyone not had an EPCOT menu tasting due to another event? We had ours without any problem.
4. Is it possible to have a site visit during the planning session? (we actually haven't seen the LSS reception site yet). Yep, we actually did site visit, menu tasting and planning session all in the same day. It was a long tiring day but we were glad to be able to do it.

Your Planning Sessions Is Usualy About 3-4 Hrs, As Long As You Pretty Much Have In Mind What You Want, Have General Ideas Before You Go, It Helps!

Epcot Only Does Food Tasting In The Morning Its About 1.5 Hrs, It Usually Is A Different Dat Day Than Your Initial Planning Sessions, I Had To Wait On My Tasting Session Because They Don't Do Them During Food And Wine Festival.

Let Them Know Ahead Of Time What You Want To See During Your Planing Session, And They Will Take You See Sites.

Our tasting is set up for 9:30a.m.!!! We are meeting at Francks at 9am and then going over to Epcot with our planner for the tasting, nothing like steak and lobster at that time LOL!!!

I have no idea what to expect other than that, everything for ours is scheduled on the same day.

Be sure to ask for that site visit - they don't do it in the middle of your 4-hour block of planning time at Franck's.

Ours was scheduled for 9am-10am, followed by tasting from 10:30 to 11:30 or noon, with a planning session that afternoon from 1pm to 5pm. HTH :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness ~
Thank you all for your input! After reading the replies, I'm feeling much more at ease with the scheduling.

We will be in Disney for 4 days and there just seems to be so much to take care of (with of course the addition of visiting the MK :thumbsup2 ).

It will be so hard for me to wait until 2 weeks prior to know if the menu tasting would be available because I think it would be a highlight of the trip!
Well, thanks again ~ and if there are any other tips, I'd be glad to hear them!

:goodvibes
