Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

i'm excited you have decided to try both water parks!! i LOOOVE water parks! and TL and BB are both GREAT! I def would recommend a locker, and getting there early to get a chair to place yoru towel at. a lot of people tend to take up more chairs than they need (one for each of their young children who are never there, can you tell i am peeved by that??) and its hard to get one later in the morning.

i think you can do the park by 2:00. you can porbbaly do the whole park in 3 hours if you really wanted to.

you will have a blast though!! i suggest trying all of the attractions! lol (then again i'm a thrill seeker)

And Shark Reef...you have got to check out Shark Reef. If I could I would have spent hours there!

I will! I went snorkeling once and I really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

Hate to tell you...you go under with or without a tube!

Well there goes that theory! :lmao:

We're planning on getting to the park as soon as it opens. I definitely want a chair so that we can sit and relax. :goodvibes

I'm sure Miguel will take that advice and try out all of the attractions - he's a daredevil too!

We're snowed in here, too! Not as rare in NY as in Atlanta, obviously, but I'm so sick of it! Hate shoveling out the car (who am I kidding? DBF always does that for me :lmao:) and having to be all bundled up.
Sorry, I can't be any help with the water parks. We're not fans at all. I do have to say, though, the lazy river at TL does look really relaxing and fun! I do know that there's always lots of PP photographers, though. You can get great picture opportunities without having to buy your own waterproof camera.

Hi Courtney! I won't be much help with Blizzard Beach, since i've only been there once, for a few hours, when I was 4 lol. But! I can help with Typhoon Lagoon! I've only been there once, but that was for a half day (should've been a whole day, but we got downpoured on and we had a bad thunderstorm, so they shut down the park) two years ago. Anyways! Here's my advice!
1. Get there early! The earlier, the better! We got there right when the park opened and got to ride all of the big rides first!
2. Try to plan it so that you don't go on a day when they're forecasting storms....we didn't check that morning and we had to leave with only a half day in TL.
3. Check out the shark tank! That was one of my favorite attractions!
Here are my favorite rides there!
1. Castaway Creek, I spent an hour just floating in the lazy river!
2. Gangplank Falls--so much fun!
3. Humanga Kowabunga!
4. Keel Haul Falls!
5. Crush N' Gusher (my favorite was the coconut crusher)
6. Wave Pool (I drug my chair up to the edge and let my feet sit in the water! So Relaxing!)

Hope I helped!

Miguel spent a good part of today shoveling. My driveway is pretty steep so in order to get my car out it had to be done. :sad2:

Thank you so much for all the great advice and the list of attractions to try! I really appreciate it! :goodvibes

We're planning on getting to the park right when they open, so hopefully we can get a good chair and get on the popular rides before the masses come in. :thumbsup2 I definitely see myself spending a lot of time in the lazy river! How I wish I was there right now!

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't updated recently! We went on our little mini-vacation to my dad's last weekend, and then this week I started back to school, so I haven't had too much free time to get on the boards. :sad2:We've been very busy with wedding stuff, too which is exciting! This past Tuesday marked 5 months until the big day, and Wednesday was 5 months until the Disneymoon! :woohoo: It's hard to believe we're under 5 months now.

I have lots of pictures to share with you all! My Disney store bride and groom tee's came in, as did my Save the Date's, and of course I have my day at Epcot pictures!

I'll be back later this weekend for a bigger update here and on my November TR if you're following along there, and to catch up on all of your reports. For now, I'm off to write a paper for my leadership class. :headache:

Hi Courtney! hope you had a great mini-vacation :goodvibes ... my Disney Store bride tee & wedding pens arrived yesterday too... but to Bradenton Fl to my parents! !

21 weeks today... WOW! :cool1:

Emma princess: x

ps - what time is your ceremony on June 18th? I'll have to be thinking about you guys... it'll be 5 hours later here :cutie: hehe x

MORE PURCHASES AND WEDDING STUFF

Unfortunatley, I'm still working on that leadership paper, but I wanted to take a break and post about the things I mentioned in my little mini-update. :goodvibes

A couple of weeks ago, my bride and groom tee's that I ordered from the Disney store came in!

I love them! I think they look great! Just like people warned, they are pretty small. I was worried that when I tried it on, it wouldn't fit. Here's how it looked:

I think it looks ok, right? It is a little tight, but I'm planning on loosing a few more (like 20) pounds before the wedding anyway. ;)

I quickly hid them away in the closet so Miguel didn't see them. I think I'm going to give him the groom tee for Valentine's day. I hope he likes it!

And in other shopping news, while Miguel and I were in Epcot last weekend, I decided to make a few disneymoon purchases! We stopped in Mouse Gears so I could search for a pair of the Minnie bridal ears. They were too cute not to buy!

And, I also found this really cute picture frame that I had to have.

It's the same style as the Mr. and Mrs. mugs and the shirts! I love when things match! :lmao: I would like to get a really nice PP pic in front of the castle and have it printed in black and white to put in the frame. I think it will look really nice in my living room, since my colors in there are lavender, ivory and black. :thumbsup2

I also mentioned that my Save the Date cards came in the mail finally! They were about a week late because of the snow storm we had, but they finally got here and they looked great. I even got a few extras from the company because they accidentally printed too many. I sent them down to my Dad, and he is currently in the process of addressing them all. He has very pretty hand-writting (very calligraphy like), so they should turn out beautifully. I can't wait for people to get them!

We also found my grandmother's dress for the wedding while we were visiting my dad. It's a pretty light bronze color with a long skirt, top and bolero jacket. She looks stunning in it. :cloud9:

the shirts are so cute!!!! I love them and I love the frame, I will have to pick it up on our Disneymoon.

hehe we have matching tshirt & ears now! :bride:

I bought the white ears in the Boardwalk gift shop in December.. it was exciting to tell the CM that they were for my honeymoon next year! (she then asked all about how DF had proposed etc! :cutie:)

I read the reviews on DisneyStore.com about the tshirt, and people had said it came up small.. so I actually ordered it two sizes bigger than I normally would.. thinking that it might be baggy but would look ok with shorts or when I'm getting ready on the wedding morning?! hope it looks ok - it looks nice on you! :goodvibes
I haven't seen those frames yet.. will keep my eye out for them in June! I'm hoping to get the B&G cups too, and probably a 2011 wedding ornament for our Christmas Tree .. I better start a shopping list ;) !

I bet at 10.30pm at my wedding reception I'll be saying "Courtney & Miguel are getting married right now!"

Emma princess: x

Courtney, I am so excited for you!! This is the best time of wedding planning, in my opinion.
I'm with you on the small stuff being more fun than the major things!

Can't wait to read all about the the next (less than) 5 months!

The shirts are definitely small. I ordered up a size, but I probably could have stood to go up one more. I think yours will be fine. :thumbsup2 I want to get an ornament when we're there too!

Awww, you're so sweet! What time is your ceremony going to be?

Awww, thanks Joyce! It is becoming really fun now. We are getting really excited! :yay:

our's is at 2pm.. so 9am your time?! our ceremony's have to be between 8am - 6pm in England - I only just learnt that through all this wedding planning! seemed an odd law :confused3 lol

Emma princess: x

I'll probably just be waking up! That is a strange law. Although, I guess most ceremonies fall between that time frame, anyways. :confused3

I love all of your purchases!

The shirts are really cute. I love the sparkly bride writing! I'm like you...I'm all about matching things, so I'm a big fan of the picture frame too!

I think you looked great in the shirt! they are soo cute!!!! The picture frame idea is awesome and would be a great souvenir from your disneymoon :)

I love the t-shirts and I think it looks great!!! I love the picture frame, its so Disney! And I imagine those Save-The-Dates are going to be gorgous with the hand-writing. Out of curiosity, where did you get your grandmother's dress? Do you have a picture?
