Hi everyone!! :wave2:

We are in the very early process of planning our first trip to WDW, for 2014. Currently, we are leaning towards May, for Star Wars Weekends. Have not decided how many days yet, but a minimum of 6 full days (5 for WDW, and 1 for IoA). I am interested in doing a split stay. I would love one of the resorts to have a great pool area. Would AoA fall into this category? My co-worker loved her stay there in October. I was also recommended one of the Port Orleans resorts, can't remember which, by another co-worker, due to us being a family of 5. How is their pool area? Or, would we need time for one of the water parks? DS9 loves water slides, the other 2 are pretty content with pools. I don't imagine the resorts to have something in comparison (pool-wise) with Aulani (which the boys LOVED!!), but even on a smaller scale would be fine.

Thank you!!:cutie:

Both AoA and POR (which is for a family of 5) have wonderful pools.

With AoA, you have an option of getting a suite, which would give you more room than a standard room at POR.

But they both have wonderful amentities.

I suggest checking out both threads or checking out the pics on this website and see what peaks your interest, especially the theming.

I will check out photos/threads this afternoon!!

Do any other resorts accommodate 5? Without getting a villa, that is.

AOA does not have a slide...but anything moderate or up does...

AOA suites, All Stars Music (I think its music) family suites and POR will all get 5 in a room...I think the cheapest is POR (but not 100% sure)...

We will to do 2 days MK, 2 says Epcot, 1 day animal kingdom and 2 days DHS. If you are planning on doing star wars weekend I think you will need two days there...check out the thread for this years star wars weekend...we are going in a few weeks and honestlly wish I could fit in another DHS day (we have 2 days now)...

Also I have not gone but I think you might need 2 days at Universal...

Not sure we can fit in that many days. We are only visiting IoA for WWoHP, so I think 1 dedicated day should be fine. We will do between 6-8 days, plus 2 travel days.

You can do a search and type in family of 5 and hundreds of threads will pop up with all your options. That question is asked a lot.
