We've been to WDW several times, but we've never been to DL. we're planning our first trip in July, and we have a lot of questions:

What are the prices for: dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, breakfast at Plaza Inn, and dinner at Storyteller's Cafe?

Where all does the monorail stop? We're thinking of spending a day at DCA, but having lunch at Rainforest Cafe. Can we take the monorail there and back, or would we have to walk?

What are the usual times for Fantasmic, fireworks, and the parades?

thanks in advance:D

The monorail has two stops: adjoining the Disneyland Hotel near Downtown Disney, and inside Disneyland, near the Matterhorn.

You'll find the distances in and around the Disneyland Resort very walkable, and not at all as daunting as some of those at Disney World.

It's only about a 5-10 minute walk (or less) from the entrance of DCA to the Rainforest Cafe. Which, now that I think of it, is just steps away from the monorail stop at Downtown Disney.

I can highly recommend Goofy's Kitchen, BTW ... if you've ever been to Chef Mickey's, at the Contemporary, you'll have a good idea of what you're in for  . Tip: try the PB&J pizza!

Don't try to take the monorail from Disneyland to Rainforest Cafe! We tried to do this last summer, and after waiting in line for the monorail for almost 30 minutes and almost missing our PS, we ditched the monorail idea and just walked. It took maybe 15 minutes (this included getting 5 people's hands stamped) from Tomorrowland to the entrance of the restaurant.

Maybe you can take the monorail back to Disneyland if you want to ride it--I noticed there wasn't anyone waiting at the DD station. The station is right next to the Rainforest Cafe and goes to Tommorowland.

Dinner at Storyteller Cafe varies ... you can order off the menu, or do the dinner buffet (if it is still offered at the time) ... the buffet seems to be the best way to go ($24.95/adult) ... yummers

Everything is very much within walking distance. We don't have the wide open spaces like WDW.

The two parks literally sit across from each other ... maybe a 3 minute walk to exit one and enter the other ... and DTD is right there ... maybe takes 5-7 minutes to walk from one end to the other.

The longest walk would probably be from Paradise Pier Hotel to anywhere.

As for the monorail, it works great loading at DTD, but the line gets bad in Disneyland trying to get back to DTD (competing with hotel guests plus those folks wanting to go to Rainforest Cafe, the Jazz Kitchen, or ESPN Zone for meals).
