Hi, we've only been home from WDW 6 days and I'm nuts missing it sooooo much!

I now I spent WAY too much money on this trip (worth it), but I'm looking at spending less next time. I'm needing your assistance on a TON of info.

(1) Do Canadian's ever receive those CODE / SPECIAL RATE cards in the mail? How long after Disney Resort stay?

(2) Are there other Canadian ticket specials other than the one offered each winter/spring ~ we took advantage of the 7 day hopper Canadian special this tiem.

(3) We stayed at CBR, would staying at ALL STARS next time be a let down?

THX

You are now addicted!!! I wish there were more deals for Canadians - but they are very few and far between. One thing I can comment on it that going to a cheaper resort may feel like a let dowm. We stayed at Poly, and both my husband and I agree that being so close to the parks and the mono rail is well worth the extra money (that is why we cannot return for another 5 years). We would probably stay at the YC next time. I have never stayed at All Stars - but the themes look great and it looks like a fun kid-orientated place. Ask on the resort board and you should get some good responses.

Sandra,we have stayed at both All Star Sports and All Star Movies(this past December)Although I have never stayed at the more expensive resorts.I really think that your kids would love the All Stars. The Movie resort was great seeing all of the movie characters that the kids grew up with but my kids really liked sports better(where we will be hopefully spending our next vacation in Dec,2002)They enjoyed playing on the football field with all the other kids.People are always saying how small the rooms are but there was more than enough rom for us(Me,hubby,12 and 10 year old sons)I think when we travel down one day without the kids that i will stay at the All Stars.I just feel that we get good value for our Canadian buck and I still get all of the perks people staying at the more expensive resorts get.As for the post cards,we have gotten one.About 2 months before we headed down in December for the Disney Institute. But there are no ways to know how the marketing team at Disney sends these things out.

Sandra, we have stayed at ASM and PO Riverside, and to be honest I liked ASM better. The room was cleaner, not much smaller, and I love that Disney feeling with the larger than life icons. There are no other deals for Canadians unfortunately. We have been for 7 years in a row now, and I have yet to recieve a postcard. Can I offer one suggestion. If you are going in off, or regular season buy yourself an Annual Pass. With the savings I recieved on my room discount and my admission into Disney, plus 10% off shopping at DD the pass paid for itelf plus more. In Jan. I got PO Riverside for $94/ night and in April AKL for $234/night. Althouth if you can get the $49/night at AS, go for it. I know what you mean about spending to much money. Once I totalled everything up and converted it to Canadian I just about fell over. It was worth it, but we are cutting way back next trip.
