Planning Journal: YC Gazebo/Portobello~MINI-TRIP REPORT ON PAGE 3!

Congratulations! I love the picture of you two kissing at the altar - very romantic, and I *really* love your bouquet! Do you happen to have any other photos that show it? I'd love a closer look! :)

(I should've been happy with this amount of pixie dust, which I learned by the second day and loosened up a little!)

Just wondering, are the superimposed Tink pictures availble from any of the Photopass people on Main Street?

I MUST have one!!

Looking forward to hearing about your trip and seeing all the pictures!!

Lurkyloo, I'll have better pics of the bouquet when I get the pics from Randy back. It was a silk bouquet, which you could really tell when you got up close, but turned out ok in pictures, so I was relieved.

TinkerFairy, we were told on three or four different occasions to cup our hands and we'd have a "surprise" for us later. When we bought the CD, most of the shots had Tinkerbell sitting there, but one of the last ones we took didn't have her there. (Which led to several funny shots of us looking kind of stupid, staring at our hands; lol!) I guess it's something they superimpose on their end. Or maybe you can also do it on the Web site; I don't have my PhotoPass card with me to look it up for sure but I'll try to remember to do that later. Very fun pic!

So would you NOT recommend doing the silks then ? Just curious as that is what I currently have in my plan.

Oh your photos are lovely!!!! Congrats!!

We actually did end up in EPCOT on Monday, but I felt all weird and stalkerish stopping by to sneak a peek (I didn't get your PM before we left). I'm glad everything went (mostly) well. I think I gave people with wedding pins the heebie-geebies staring them down to see if it was you! :rotfl:

Swmhc: The theme for our wedding/honeymoon was that my expectations were so high, I was bound to be disappointed. I'd heard everyone rave about Rosie and how her team was able to craft these amazing bouquets so I was prepared to be blown away. I think part of the problem was that I was handed the bouquet approximately thirty seconds before we were to walk downt the aisle and when it wasn't the color I was expecting, I panicked a wee bit in my head (I had asked her to do a deep purple and as you can see, they came out more of a lighter lavendar. Part of that isn't her fault; I imagine that's as deep of a purple as she could get with hydrangeas. BUT I wish I could've seen them in advance, at least a color swatch).

As far as the silk flowers go, I was also a little offput because they looked so fake when I was first handed them. For some reason, in my head I assumed that since they were coming from Disney, they would be amazingly lifelike. But they were just like every silk flower I'd ever seen. Like I said earlier, I was just glad that didn't come across in the pictures. If I had to do it again, I would still go with silk just because it made the MK photo shoot two days after the wedding AND transporting them back and forth that much easier. Does that help? PM if you want more details...

curiouser, did you notice that there were a LOT of couples with the Just Married pins? I don't know if it's because we were just noticing them or what, but we saw TONS. Hope you didn't end up freaking any of the poor brides out!

general disclaimer: it may seem both in my mini-trippie and my (eventuall) full-length one that I'm quite the complainer, catalogging all the little things that went wrong. But really, I'm just trying to be as honest as possible so other brides out there can learn from our experiences. We really did have an awesome wedding and honeymoon overall, honest Injun! I could not have wished for a more beautiful day, with close friends and family, and getting to spend an entire week exploring Disney with the love of my life!

I am looking so forward to your tr & pics

Purplegirl,

Congratulations on your wedding! I am so happy for you. My DH & I had our wedding in 2004 (not at Disney) but we honeymooned at Disneyworld and we had a fantastic honeymoon/vacation.

I'm really enjoying your TR & can't wait to hear all about your wedding/reception!

Christine, can't wait to read the rest and see your pics. You were gorgeous! Thanks for being honest about everything. I like to hear the good and the bad. I'm glad you feel your day was still wonderful though.

Congratulations!

We had one of these done last time we were there, but the photo didn't appear on the card at all, with or without tink :sad1:

Love the mini-report, can't wait for the full details!
