AHHHH
Disboards, how I have missed theeeeeeee

It's been so long since I lasted posted on here I can't remember which Moonie # I am ( please remember there are actually 5 of us that use this account... though I'm sure 3 of the others have forgotten the password )

2014, the start of a new year, I have insomnia and am staring out the window at 2:30am watching the snow, and all I can think about is the evernote I have open that has my plans for the magical, currently unnamed, Disney trip Moonie #1 and I are planning...

BUT IT ISN'T UNTIL 2015!!!! I don't know how I'm going to make it that long!! It's already been years since our last visit, there's new Fantasyland, we want to Disneybound..... and we're planning on going over Halloween & Early Christmas which means I will achieve my life long goal of COSPLAYING AT DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!

I will be able to die of happiness.

Of course I have a few questions about that but later when I have the brain capacity for that. Until then, enjoy watching the breakdown of a 20something year old in the long haul for another trip to the Happiest Place on earth!!!

We promise, we really aren't one person with multiple personalities. We're just a group of friends (though now 4 of us live together so bad plans come together easier and it's a bit terrifying) So here we are!

Moonie # 1 - Chloe

The...leader of our group?? I mean certainly the most adult-ish some of the time. She's excited if only becuase it's finally happening, it's booked, flights are booked, and the lovely customer service on the phone from WDW seems to make her day.

Moonie # 2 - Chibi

Is a die hard Disney-aholic, our Glitter trip was her first trip (and she may or may not be counting this trip as a 2nd first trip..because of reasons <3). Being that we'll be going to MNSSHP she's also extremely excited to be able to wear a costume in MK. She's also the one who's going to be making ALL of the costumes for the trip.

Moonie # 3 - Tux

Is attempting round 2...last time we went to WDW he could only look sadly as Star Tours was testing, and he was denied. It's been a few years...and now finally he'll be able to embrace his inner Jedi....or maybe Sith...not sure. (He tells me inner Han....he shot first?)

Moonie # 4 - Megpie

It depends what day you ask her what her name is. It's either her nickname - Megpie, or her alter ego - Megar! She's a Disney veteran and was sad last time when we didn't get to see the parking lot (Moonie #2 is still confused by this) but she is absolutely ecstatic to be going to MNSSHP as HATTER...HATTER!!!! (I don't think I can explain just how excited she is....hatter )

Moonie # 5 - Alex

The 'baby' of the group this time, it's been a long time since he's been back, though he did get out to DisneyLand the same here we Moonies went to WDW. He's excited not so much for the WDW portion of the trip but because this is his 22nd birthday (and therefore double Hogwarts birthday) and it will be his FIRST time to the WWOHP. He tells us he won't cry... we're skeptical, and will have photo evidence if it does happen.

Moonie # 6 - Claudia (Chloe and Alex's mum)

Hasn't been back to WDW since Moonie #1 and 5 were much much MUCH smaller. Currently she's a little bit skeptical at how magic of a trip it can be, but we are slowly convincing her. We have also convinced her to be Edna Mode for MNSSHP

MNSSHP Costume Plans!!

Cause we're crazy, but we're also cosplayers so of course we aren't going to pass up this chance to cosplay in the parks!

Moonie #1 - Tinkerbell
Moonie #2 - Queen Elinore
Moonie #3 - Jedi Knight
Moonie #4 - Mad Hatter
Moonie #5 - Kristoff
Moonie #6 - Edna Mode

Periodically I may post photo updates here; for now "8 hours 6 costumes!" the day in which we cut out ALL THE FABRIC O_O

We all know everything changes....

All I know for certain is

50S PRIME TIME CAFE HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU

I'm mostly putting this here incase we get an answer to a question that other people are looking for.

That is the question.

I'm going to keep a list of the Pros and Cons of dealing with a 3rd party travel company. The last time we went to Disney we planned, and booked everything ourselves through the Disney website. It was fantastic!! (with the exception of some of our things not showing up until we were actually at the resort... like our luggage tags ). This time however we wanted to see if going with a Travel Company would be a good fit.

Moonie #1 and I are planning on going for 10 days, longer than the first trip we took. Moonies #3-5 and a few other... new Moonies who have yet to be numbered are also planning on coming, but some for a few days overlapping others, which means having to play with multiple bookings... I figure let someone else deal with that headache.

The company we're looking at dealing with is: Fairytale Dreams and Destinations. They were in the programme booklet for the new Aladdin Musical that we saw in Toronto in December (I highly recommend this to everyone. JAFAR IS JAFAR. And by that I mean Jonathan Freeman was actually Jafar in this!! When he sang the Prince Ali Reprise I think I broke...)
*coughs* anyway back to the company.

Being that the trip is a little under 2 years away I figured I wouldn't hear back from them once I emailed an inquiry. However, 3 days after I sent it, I heard back from them and they're most certainly going to follow up with us once the dates are released. The agent also sent us the new links for the disability cards and new photo pass. SO EXCITE ALREADY.

Pro:
  • Prompt!! Responded to emails quickly even though they didn't have all of the info (though that was to no fault of their own)
Con:

Moonie #2 here (because they other 4 Moonies either can't remember login information or I haven't told them about the new ptr...)

I've been reading a lot of information on the new DAS cards for Disability Services. I cannot begin to explain how much anxiety this is causing, though I'm sure everyone who's gotten one, tried to get one, or the old GACs knows just what I'm talking about by feeling this way.

After our last (and my only Disney trip ever T_T ) I developed severe social phobias, including Agoraphobia, Dissociative Disorder, Depression, Panic and Anxiety disorders, Severe Anxiety (because apparently it's different?) etc etc etc...

Not to go into too many details, the 2015 trip is going to hopefully be my present of getting over at the very least the agoraphobia. But I still feel I'll probably need the DAS card so that I can at least avoid lines. I don't mean FOL passes since I know those don't exist, but getting a ride back time and waiting somewhere else that I consider 'safe' and won't send me spiralling into a panic attack which would eventually end with me blacking out and my friends taking me back to the resort for the rest of the day.

I've also had people tell me that I'm overreacting, that this is not intended for 'adults' that I don't really have a 'disability' or to simply (and this is my favourite) 'get over it'. It's not exactly how it works...... but regardless I do find myself questioning it every other day if it's worth the extra anxiety in the lead up, should I shouldn't I....am I really over reacting???

GUHHHH

Finished Coronation Elsa!! Definitely won't be wearing her to the park for MNSCHP since the cloak weighs like 15lbs and is warm like whoa.

Oh DisBoards How I have missed thee!!
But as of today (well yesterday) our trip is BOOKED.

MNSSHP HERE WE COME <3 We'll also be taking Moonie #5 and #6 to the WWOHP for the first time (it's Moonie #5s 22nd re:double Hogwarts birthday so mum is flying down for just that :D) Going to spam update this so it actually looks like a trip report of some kind.

YAY! Your trip report was one of the first ones I ever read on the boards!
So glad you all are going back!
