So I want to go to WDW in the fall of 2021. By then, shouldn't all the new stuff be open? When do you recommend to be a good time? Was considering Oct 3-10 which is just around the 50th anniversary date. I know it will be busy because of that but wondered if it would be better to be there on Oct 1. I don't necessarily have to be there on the day, but would like to participate in the festivities that I hope would continue for several days.

Unfortunately, I think my big rollercoaster days are over. Last trip I rode on EE and was pretty dizzy when I got off, so Tron is probably out and Galaxy of the guardians as well. But there are other new things coming that I definitely want to see.

Following, we are planning a similar time frame or moving to September 21. Just not sure when the 50th anniversary will start.

The current plans have Tron and Guardians open by then. But if you’re not riding roller coasters then the only 2021 thing that will probably interest you is the Play! Pavilion, which doesn’t have a timeline beyond “2021” yet.

Early October is usually OK but the 50th may mess with that. So hard to predict this far out. It’s still hard for most people to take their kids out of school right after school starts.

I imagine there will be a 1 day celebration followed by a year+ long series of event overlays. I don’t know if Oct 3 will be all that different from May 19th though. We’ll learn more probably late this year.

Following: Looking to go around this same time frame...possibly end of September into early October. Kind of scared of what kind of crowds Oct. 1 will bring.

A celebration this big will entice crowds and since it is not on the blackout list for Resident passholders ,even Silver, I have a feeling the park will be hit hard the day of and days around it. Everytime there is a big event regardless of time of year, if it is not the blackout dates for residents, they will be there. They generally dont go during busy times or are blacked out ,but special events they will show up for.
