Okay, so I know that is SUPER far away... however... I don't go to Disney every year, and planning is half the fun... so yes... I'm planning now :)

I have not used the new Fast Pass+ system..... so I'm unsure of how it actually all plays out.
And, we are going with a group of 12.

So, our big dilemma is.... stay On-Site or Off-Site. We want to stay Off-Site for cost savings....however....

I'm worried about getting fast passes for new and/or popular attractions for a group of 12 with only 30 days out (instead of 60). Is this totally impossible to do? I don't want my whole group to be disappointed when we go.....

I feel your 2017 pain! We took a trip in March and won't be returning to WDW until 2017. You can see by my ticker that I talked DH into a DL trip next summer in the meantime...because I am addicted and I have a problem

Anywho, I actually really liked the FP+ system, though I didn't expect to. It's definitely a bit of an adjustment. If you were going this year, I would say just go ahead and stay off-site. With a group that big, the space you could get with off-site accommodations would just be so much better for the money, and you'd really only be shut out of the Anna and Elsa meet and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. However, by 2017 there should be some additional new stuff open, including Frozen ride in EPCOT and Avatarland in AK, that will probably be next to impossible to get if you're offsite. It looks like you don't take trips too often, so you may want to prioritize seeing attractions over saving the money if you can swing it. What about a couple of All-star family suites?

I know exactly what you are saying....the accomodations we could get for a party of 12 would be amazing off-site....but....I would be extremely disappointed if we did not get fast passes for a new attraction. I only go to Disney like once every four years, so I definitely want to do the new stuff. I'm also not enthused about having to stay up late 30 or 60 days in advance on a work night, to try to get fast pass tickets online.....not looking forward to that at all especially since I wake up at 4:44am for work.

I'm really thinking we will be staying off site due to cost....and I'm already stressing about fast pass, and the vacation is two years away! Lol.....I hope it changes by then into something better.....
