Planning for 2017 - early June or late Sept for crowds/weather?

The last time my family was at DLP was in 2002 so I only have vague memories, but we went in November and it was cold and rainy the whole time, and my parents would like to try for a chance at some good weather but without the summer crowds next year. We have to start penciling in our vacation time-off requests soon, so I'm looking for opinions of when might be the best time to go. I've done some research and it seems early June or late September might be the best options, but I wasn't sure which one would be better.

Any thoughts or advice? TIA!

Over all I would say that September is less crowded than June. The prices are lower then too, so Disney agrees on this. ;) In terms of the weather; you can't really tell! We've been mid October and had 28C degrees and exactly one year later 8C degrees and rain! I *think* June is a less rainy month, but I'm not enterily sure and you just have to have some luck I guess..

This year the Swing into Spring festival lasted until June. There will only be a short time between the Swing into Spring festival ending and Frozen Summer Fun beginning. The best time to go would be in between these two seasons. This is the same for September; by the end of the month it will be the end of Frozen Summer Fun and the Halloween season hasn't started yet (normally starts October 1st).

The beginning and ending of a special season is usually less crowded. If you like to see the special seasons' entertainment and decorations, you should go the first or last week. But going when there is absolutely no special season what so ever is the best in terms of crowds and prices. This applies to the entire year, not just June and September. Ofcourse avoiding weekends and school holidays is always helpful.

I must say that all this is just speculation, as next year the 25th anniversary will start and there is no telling on what they won't or will do for entertainment comparing to 'normal' years. But generally speaking, I'd say September is the safest in terms of crowds and prices and June for the weather.

ive been the beginning of June and twice in the middle of September. they are both very similar in my opinion.
I maybe a lucky person because its always been sunny and warm when we have been in DLP, and that includes our stay in mid march in 2014!

crowds are low in both june and september, most rides are practically walk ons, apart from Crush coaster and autopia, i think they were around the 30 mins wait, which is quite low for them rides actually.

We have loved going in September, lovely weather and low crowds, no fighting your way to meet the characters, decent park hours and plenty of room in the restaurants so we have never needed to book tables in advance.
If i had to chose a favourite month then it would be September.

I know im lucky but i doubt even i will be in t-shirts and shorts for our next trip in December though!

just to add most of the schools in UK got a week off w/k 29th May and I think France schools break off last week of June so if this time is better I would go in 2nd or 3rd week... we were in the 2nd week of June this year and were really luck with a weather and it wasn't too busy xx

I'd go in September to avoid the crowds from the school holidays. Our preference is the middle of September, but try and avoid the RunDisney weekend (I think it's the third weekend in Sept 2017)

If choosing between June and september I'd definitely go for september. Less crowds and cheaper prices. If it's an option, I'd even go for early October when Halloween season has started. Weather is usually still lovely then and Halloween season is really amazing with all the extra decorations and entertainment.
