Planning for 2008 ... already?!?!

Yes, I am thinking ahead like a good DIS-ing DVC member

I would love to take a trip to WDW in the spring/early summer of 2008 and head to DL in the fall. We haven't been to WDW ever (well I went to Epcot back in the late 80's for one day, DH has never been). I was wondering what everyone thought the best times for then is. I am thinking mid to late May or EARLY June. I want to miss spring break, but don't want to go to far into June when school lets out. We usually go to DL at this time, but I was thinking of switch the times up a little. We are planning on going to WDW in the fall of 2007.

first 2 wks of MAY are good. We go every year for the flower power concerts at Epcot. not real crowded

May and November are my favorite times to visit WDW. While I am teaching, it's not possible to travel then - but if I got to choose, I'd pick then.

In '07 we are trying April for the Flower Show, but we have always gone in May and have had wonderful weather.

We're already working on 2008 too! And we haven't even "gone home" yet! That's in March '07!

We were going to go over my Spring Break from school but since Easter is THREE WEEKS earlier than usual in 2008, it would be smack in the middle of Easter. And we're NEVER going to WDW over Easter or Christmas. Yuck. Not our bag, baby!

So June, it is!!!! Hoping for a GV @ OKW for a party of 8! Give me some pixie dust!

We used to live just outside of WDW. The whole month of May is great. The highs are in the low 90's. Anything later than the first week in June, it really gets too hot. My SIL went last year for the last weekend of SW weekends at MGM (June 9-11) and barely got to see any of the characters because they were dripping with sweat by 10:30 am.

Eek, I was just planning our 2007 and 2008 trips (trying to get the most our of our annual passes). So glad you mentioned about Easter, I hadn't got realised that it was early next year (March 21 is Good Friday for anyone else interested). I was planning on going at our March break which is slightly earlier next year 10-14 March.

So my plans are OKW - March 07, Home (SSR) Dec 07 and (???)March 08.

I'm planning my first trips as a DVC member. We bought this summer after a trip to WDW and a visit to Saratoga and a short sales pitch and tour and promptly banked all of our points so next February we'll have two years worth available. We are going to a DVC resort the last week of June 2007 sun-thurs and then heading to Vero beach for Fri and Sat. Then the first week of December 2007 four nights probably at Saratoga. June 2008 we'll go the second or third week of June or so. Going at these times will allow us to cover all three trips with an annual pass!

2008? Yes, I'm planning. Planning on not going.

It isn't as bad as it sounds though, we have two trips planned for 2007, one in January and one in November. Then we plan on January 2009, so it really isn't that bad. I may just have to hit DL in the summer though, I think by then my kids will be old enough that the drive won't make me too crazy.

Well, we're skipping 2007, so I'm planning a good long trip for fall of 2008! Mid-to late September, maybe into early October. Sat-Thurs OKW or VWL, 3-night cruise, Sun-Fri BCV or BWV!
