hi guys, we are planning our first trip to DL for august. Where should we stay, eat, etc. It will just be my DH and 8yr old daughter. Thanks for any advice. maggie
 
There are sooo many different places very close by. If you can afford it the Disney hotels are a nice way to enjoy your 1st vacation that much more. If not then we always made sure the motel/hotel had a shuttle because at the end of the day the last thing you want is to walk back to the place.

for more info but these boards are great!! If you rent a car then you won't be stuck eating Disney food the whole time which may or may not be a good thing;) If you had more specific questions it would probably be easier to help you with more advice:D
