Planning and Island of adventures at night

Hi,

I'm trying to alternate 1 late night followed by an early night in.

So, we are arriving fairly late at our hotel on the Friday night (around 11 PM).

Our hotel is very near Universal, we can apparantly walk or shuttle. So the next morning, on Saturday, we will do Universal Studio all day, going out to City Walks for supper; and back in for the Cinema Show at night or the concert (there of 14th July).

On Sunday, we have breakfast at the 3 broomstick at 8:30 in Island of Adventures. We intend to spend the rest of the day in Island of Adventure. I do not see any nightime only activity on the Web site. Am I right? Therefore, if we have done all the ride we could; and seen all the show before 6 PM, we could make this an early-ish night around 8 PM? Without missing anything?

On Monday, we are off to SeaWorld and supper at DTD, so that will be also a bit relaxing - considering that we are moving at the end of the day.

So really, I am safe in my assumption that my day 2 at IOA will be an early night? We have a 4 yrs old with us, so we won't do many big rides.

With little ones you will most likely be able to do everything in IOA. If you have Early Admission to WWOHP then definitely use it and go there first then go to your reservations. Then hit Seuss Landing (great for kids) and the other parts of IOA. My sister and I had everything done by 2 pm getting into the parks at 7.

to get the early entry you must be staying on site or have booked the universal package to get that perk.

They stated that their hotel was near Universal. They also have a Three Broomsticks breakfast. Implying to me that they had a package with off site participating hotel.

Yes, I am off site yet onsite! I have a a package with the Best Western through Universal, we so have early entry to IOA with the breakfast included. I'm glad to know this will be an early night.

My daugher might be quite annoyed, I want to eat at the 3 broomstick then do the Harry Potter castle ride (and she'll be too small!). She'll hang with her dad in Hogwarts. Then we'll do the rest.

If you have stayed off site, do you bus to the IOA for the early entry or walk? (I think shuttles are too late)

check with your hotel and ask them in advance what type of shuttles do they offer the guests.
and the time schedule.
if it is the star shuttle, it won't work for you.
if your hotel has a private shuttle, ask .

if they don't have a schedule that will suit you, you could walk or take a cab.

each family is different.
some enjoy an early morning walk while others prefer transportation.

i would walk in the morning and take a cab back if your group is tired at the end of the day.

Normally my hotel is a little too far, so I drive. My trip this year I read the hotel is literally across the street, so we may be walking to save money. If it isn't too far I'd say walk because the shuttles usually don't leave until 8am in my experience.

Also, maybe take your daughter on the Flight of the Hippogriff ride a few times extra if the line isn't miserable. If she's tall enough for that one. It will probably make it up to her that you ride it with her more since she can't go on Forbidden Journey.
