Hi.

Were staying at poly and I want to start putting things together for our trip. It's me, the wife, and dd(5).

Any good ideas for things to do?

So far we have the tea party and treasure hunt at GF for dd. I think we'll try and do a char breakfast too.

Other than that, it's all open. Should we try the dinner show at WL?

My dd wants to take hula lessons at Poly...do we need to book that in advance too?

Take a day to just relax and enjoy the Poly. Make sure to catch the Electrical water parade!

My dd age 4 and ds age 9 did the cooking class @ the gf. they enjoyed it. we also did the hoop dee do rev. loved it !. The water mice boats are a lot of fun.

bhillier,

Hi. I remember talking with you about the 7/4 deal.

The cooking class sounds like a great idea...my dd loves to do that stuff. Thanks!

We have 3 ds so I dont know about the hula lessons but I think another poster said once they are only on a saturday and its at luau cove and you join a dance class that is already there> Bring your resort id with you. The neverland club is also open from like 12-4. They have free movies and arts and crafts. Parent must accompany child and bring id again. You can rent a surry bike for all of you and pedal around. Take a boat on over to fort wilderness and enjoy the petting zoo. Zip around in a water mouse or rent a pontoon boat and grab a snack from captain cooks and have a picnic on the lake. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy the resort, pool etc. I am sure you are paying quite a bit for your room so enjoy it.

Try to get PS for one of the Princess Breakfasts, either CRT or Norway Storybook B'fast. Nothing could be better for a 5yoDD. My kids also really love Chef Mickey's for our first night dinner- a great way to start the vacation w/a BANG! We also really love and second the recommendation to try HDDR (which is lap-slapping hilarious, and LOVED by my then 5yo.) It's funny, my kids remember the special dining experiences better than the attractions in parks!

Have fun at the Poly!:sunny: I think hula lessons are offered free to guests at certain times of day on certain days (like 3PM Saturdays or something.) Check with guest services.

Breakfast at CRT
Dinner at Ohanas (snow cones made in sand buckets with favorite syrup)
Fantasmic
At least an afternoon at Blizzard Beach
Relaxation and fun by pool

good stuff here...thanks everyone!

Do you think we should do the GF - cruise, cooking, tea party all on separate days?

I'm thinking a Mon, Tues, Wed. so everything is not rushed.

Think I'm gonna only make 3 dinner ps's. We like to have freedom to come and go as we please - don't want to be tied down with too many ps's.

Mickey, Goofy, and Chip and Dale were there dressed in Hawaiian shirts. They were very interactive and my daughter loved it . This was her second favorite character meal (Cinderella's Breakfast was #1).

The fireworks display is beautiful from the beach at the Poly.

There are kids activites for free (hula lessons are one, also lei making and some others) on certain days of the week. Just ask for a schedule when you arrive.

Have a wonderful time. The Poly is great for kids (and adults!). :)
