We are in the beginning stages of planning a WDW trip and want to know what time of year is the best to go--your opinion. Any good/bad times?? What has been your experience? Crowds??
Any info would help!
Thanks!!!

If you look at my signature, you will see that I'm just a tad bit partial to May. It's my anniversary month and I just don't want to be at Disney during any other time. When we go in May, during the 3rd week, it's actually a great time to go because crowds aren't bad and weather is just perfect. Yes it's hot, but I'm from FL so at that time of year, it's the weather I'm used to. It's also not near as hot as it can be in June, July, or August. Only get rain maybe once on a seven or eight day trip and it only rains for about 15-20 minutes at a time. DH and I take advantage of Fastpass on our trips and we are usually out of the parks by 1pm. We've gotten soooooooo much done so it gives us the opportunity to go back to our hotel room and nap before we head out for dinner later in the evening. :D

Any other questions, just ask.

You know .... I'm a goofball and I voted solely based on crowds and temperatures. After I voted, I thought ..... "What am I thinking?? DECEMBER is my favorite month. Disney is perfect at Christmas." So, if I could, I would change my vote to December. And go early in the month, and you'll have the lighter crowds, plus the ambiance and magic of Christmas!

I like June! It is hot and we can go to water parks. The parks are also open late. With early entry, the parks are manageable in the AM, have lunch, then return to hotel for break/swim/etc. In late PM, early evening, you just go to another park for the night-time festivities!

From everything I hear, December is the time to go! My boyfriend and I will be there 2nd-7th. Will post a trip report when I get back, if you're interested. :jumping1:

I personally DON'T enjoy Disney World during the summer months (June-August). Unless you're used to/enjoy the heat, I would advise against it! It was also pretty crowded (families and kids on summer vacation flock to WDW!) I went there once in June and once was enough for me!

I personally LOOOVE going in November. It's still warm (70's to 80's), but not unbearably so and it's nowhere near as humid and sticky as in the summer. It does get REALLY crowded closer to Thanksgiving (the most crowded would probably be the day before and Thanksgiving day). You CAN manage a trip on those crowded days, but you wind up spending a lot more time in line. I've been there twice in Nov. and am going down this November. They start putting up the Christmas decorations around Thanksgiving, so it makes the place even more *magical.* I'm sure it would be beautiful in December, too.

You might want to check out this website that lists the times of year that tend to be the most crowded. It also has some other good information. http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/weather/whentovisit.asp

Another excellent website that has pretty much all the information you could ever want about planning a trip to WDW is http://allearsnet.com . It has information about all the parks, all the rides/attractions/fireworks/shows, resorts, and menus for all of the on-site restaurants and food courts. I've found this one especially helpful.

Good luck with your trip planning! :teeth: :earsgirl:

My choices.........didn't answer the poll..........
January-Feb are good times for crowds but the weather can be iffy.
March-April.......no, to many people....spring breaks for the schools
May ...........is a great month, Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT
June- August..........way to hot and humid and TOOOOO many people!
Sept. ........is still pretty warm and humid but the crowds are thin.
Oct-Nov...........the later in Oct the better the weather, not as humid, not crowded until Thanksgiving week, and of course the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT!
December.......I really like early Dec because Disney really does the decorating up right , although the weather during Dec. can sometimes be iffy also.

If I HAD to choose it would be Dec. or May

I voted for October b/c the weather was gorgeous (still warm enough for waterparks but not humid) and the crowds weren't too bad. We also got to go to MNSSHP which was a lot of fun!

We are going this December, so my vote could change! I hear December is wonderful!

Don't go when there is a holiday (out of towners and tourists) will cram their way to WDW. Personally, I like to go when it's off season. It's not crowded, the weather's great, and it's cheaper.
