I'm going to be taking my 5yo great-niece to WDW in March, she'll have her 6th birthday there :) She is very girly and loves all things princess. My girls weren't much into that stuff at that age so I'm looking forward to this. What would be on your must do list? We'll have 9 days and are staying at BCV so will have plenty of time without having to go all day.

This is what I have so far:
Breakfast at Castle (booked already but might change to lunch)
Storybook breakfast at Epcot
Belle's Storytime at MK
Cinderellabration at MK
Pocahontas show at AK
Little Mermaid at MGM
Beauty & The Beast at MGM

Aoura and Belle can be found in the garden in France, there sometimes isn't a line and she may get some really good interaction with them.

I think they alternate with each other.

well, you have to have your great-niece meet some princesses. you'll definitely get to meet quite a few at CRT for breakfast and at Storybook in Norway. make sure you have the camera and autograph book handy for that. let's see, what else.... oh you can take her to see the beauty and the beast show in MGM. fantasmic does have a princess segment. that's definitely worth checking out. this is all that i can think of right now. i hope this helps.

Is this deju vu or what??? I just took my 9 y/o niece in November. We stayed for 9 days and at the BCV!!! Having two grown boys, we went Princess crazy. We'd only do the parks for the morning, and then she'd want to go in the pool. She actually liked the vacation club pool better than SAB!!! She said it was too crowded.

Well, we went to SS Spa and I got a WONDERFUL pedicure, and she got "My First Manicure" and "My First Pedicure". Her and I went to the "My Disney Girl Princess Tea.". She'd eaten at the castle a year ago, so we did the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fair. We also did the Alice In Wonderland breakfast there. We did the Princess Lunch at Epcot. We did some fun meals too, she liked Whispering Canyon at WL, and Sci Fi at MGM. The character breakfast at Cape May Cafe was nice and it was nice to just be able to walk down there in the AM. Also, we did Liberty Tree Tavern, after trying most of the character meals now, I still think you can't beat Chef Mickey for the Mickey characters. She did the Albatross Treasure Cruise which leaves from the Yacht Club dock. That was nice and then DH and myself had a nice breakfast at Yacht Club Galley while she did that.

We only did whatever she wanted to do. It worked out great!!! LOL I didn't "push" going on any rides that she didn't want to and she actually enjoyed doing her favorite rides over and over again, (most of the time there were no lines), then going on a whole bunch of rides she didn't care about. I had all my ADR's made, I planned what parks what day, and because we had 9 days, we didn't do EMH, we hit the parks upon opening, on the days in between EMH days, it worked out really well, and we got that extra hour sleep. One day we did Typhoon Lagoon. We did do the night time EMH at AK and that really worked out well, too. If you get there about 3:00 - 3:30, you can do that Safari and Kali River before 5 when those areas close and they have the rest of the night to do the other things. It wasn't crowded at all.

She did get cranky by lunch, but once she was back at the villa, had a little drink and snack and pool time, she was a new little girl. She really LOVED the pool and some days we'd spend 2-3 hours just hanging out there.

Of course we did the night time things too. I think what also helped is that we kind of had a night time "routine". We'd get back anywhere between 7-8 depending on what we did that night. She'd go in the jacuzzi, write in her journal, and then we'd sit out on the deck and watch the Epcot fireworks with some popcorn.

We were fortunate enough to be there the week-end of the Festival of the Masters Art Show and she liked doing those activities and it was also the last week-end of the Food and Wine Festival and she really liked going around Epcot and eating at all the different places.

Now the 4 year age difference is going to change some of the things you can do, but like I said, I still had a "basic plan", with ressies made, park days planned, night time stuff planned (for least busy days at that park), but for the most part, within that planning we just let her do and ride what she wanted. We had a WONDERFUL time.

We have planned a Princess trip for our DGD also 4 years old. She also loves the other Pooh and Pluto, so we planned character meals, but we have really planned around the Princesses, and their shows. I am jealous that others have had the pleasure of spoing their little ones. I hope that DD will let us take our little Princes alone next time so that we can have some of the experiences that the above poster enjoyed.

Janette, isn't fun to finally have a girly girl in the family?

I hope that ya'll have fun!! I like the things that you've planned so far!

Are you going to MGM? We were really impressed with the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast shows there. I think you have everything else covered! have a great trip!
jen :cold: smiley by dd4--we are freezing in Cleveland!

Yes, we will be going to MGM can't believe I forgot to add Little Mermaid & B&TB to the list. We'll do all the parades and evening shows at least once.

Probably won't do the Tea Parties, a little out of the budget and I think she'd enjoy doing some additional character meals. We'll be doing the O'hana with Stitch since my 11yo DD's favorite is Stitch.

I think I heard at the Wolrd of Disney Store in DTD there is going to be a "princess type" boutique that you can go for hairstyles, costumes, ect... Maybe it will be open by the time you will be there.

Isnt the Tea at the grand Floridian a Princess' theme....this might go along with your theme :goodvibes

Another Princess greeting opportunity is in the Judge's Tent in Toontown in the Magic Kingdom. They have 3 lines for character greetings, one of which will have princesses. When we've gone one of them is normally Cinderella. Last time I was there they had Cinderella, Snow White and Belle in the room but it varies.

If you want to meet Ariel in her mermaid attire then get to her grotto in the Magic Kingdom early. The lines get long and slow quickly. They state they open at 10:00 but I'd be in the immediate area by 9:45 because 2 times I've been there they opened early.

Also in the Magic Kingdom you can see the princesses in the Cinderellabration show and Belle's storytime. At Belle's storytime they take a few children up on stage to participate in the show. Try to get there early and sit down front if you want to have a chance at her being selected.

At MGM you are limited to the Ariel show and the Beauty and the Beast show princess-wise.

Animal Kingdom has the Pochohontas show and that's about it.

Epcot gives you a lot of chances to interact with princesses. You can see Jasmine in Morocco, Snow White in Germany, Belle and Aurora in France, Mary Poppins in England (not a princess but she's still "girly"). I've never seen her but I hear you can meet Mulan in China.

Other than that, there are the character meals you mentioned. Hopefully all of that will satisfy her!

Finally, stop at guest relations on your way into the park and get a birthday button so everyone will know it is her special day.
