Trying to plan a girls-only weekend for next month. The "girls" are my sis who is only 18 months older than me and the 2 girls we grew up with. Trying to find a place in Carmel-by-the-Sea for the Columbus Day weekend has been quite a challenge. I don't have that Monday off, so we're planning for Friday & Saturday night. It's not easy booking a place that has some kind of sitting room & 2 bathrooms. Of course, if we had started to plan earlier, we'd have had our choice of many places!

Do any of you get weekends away with old friends? Lets hear the stories!

Myself and 3 friends of mine I actually met online, got together for 2 yrs in a row in Tunica Miss, Memphis area. Believe it or not, all 4 of us shared 1 bathroom...we didn't spend much time in the room anyways.
It was probably one of the highlights of my life! Hanging out with girlfriends is totally underated!!
Have a blast :)

Not "old" friends, but a couple of my girlfriends and I are going on a 3 nt cruise in December. There are only 3 of us going, I was hoping that more would be able to. But, our DH's are going to have to take 2 days off work for us and it only worked out for the 3 of us. I'm very much looking forward to my first caribbean cruise and just getting away from the whole "family" thing.

Hopefully you can find a place. Just remember that closer to the date, some people might cancel. Good Luck!!! Sounds like a lot of fun.

I have a book group (actually a group of 7 close friends) that I had a great "girls night" with last year. We rented a 2 bedroom suite and another adjoining room at a nice hotel downtown & had a grown-up girls slumber party. The hotel had a spa & we went for some treatments, had a great dinner with a hilarious waiter, & had a gift exchange to celebrate our 5th year as a book club.

One of the ladies owns a very nice lake-side home a couple of hours away from where we all live and we have also spent at least one weekend there together for the last 2 or 3 years. It's great to get together, have some good food, a few drinks & some "kid free" time.

A few times we have also let the hubbies come. :p
