Planning a 2010 Stay at Portofino

But we have never stayed anywhere other than a WDW resort.

Our plan is to do 2-3 nights at PBH then we'll go to WDW.

But I don't know much - if anything - about the Universal hotels. Are there ways to get discounts? I'm a AAA member....
Are there packages that include theme park tickets? Are there any theme park tickets that would include US/IOA and Sea World?
Do you recommend a rental car???

We went to Universal for the first time in 2006 and stayed at PBH. We're now getting ready for our third trip back there next week! You're going to love it.

I'm a AAA member and always get a pretty nice discount using that. I've never tried booking a package, but I know they have them. I also believe they have a ticket that does include Sea World and possibly Wet & Wild.

We never rent a car, but we usually just stay onsite the whole week and don't need one. You definitely won't need one just for the Universal stay, as everything is so close and they have great transportation. If you're going to be going to Disney as well as some of the other parks, it may be a good idea to rent a car.
