This is my first post so hi to everyone. I have a quick question. My boyfriend and I are going to be going to WDW during the first week of May 2005 for 2 days as part of our trip to Florida. I was wondering if we should just get a basic 2 day pass or include the park hopper option with it so we can go to each park for a short amount of time. He has never been to WDW and I have not been since 1999. I was also wondering what hotel you would recommend. We are trying to stay on a budget, but there is room for flexibility. Also is the park very crowded this time of year. I know that there is some sort of special event that starts on May 5 that runs for something like 17 months. Should we go then before this starts or during because we will be in Florida from May 2-9. Thank you so much for the input.

Welcome to the DIS !

I think your timing would depend on whether you wanted to be part of the larger crowds and activities on the 5th, or visit beforehand to avoid them. Keep an eye on the EMH schedule to decide about hopping or not. If you do not have the hopper option, then you are restricted to one park each day (and evening) - will you be happy to only visit 2 parks, or is your plan more to do one park from early open to late afternoon, take a break, then move to another park until closing ?- that is always our preference. With only 2 days to spend, you can realistically only get a 'taste' of the parks, so I would make a plan as to what your top attractions to see are and hit them early. As far as which resort, go to the top of the page here and click on Resorts - you can see pictures and get info on them all - see which one feels like the best 'fit' for you. If you haven't, jump down to the resorts forum, there are lots of threads full of info on all the resorts and what prices people are paying. Have a wonderful trip ! :smooth:
PS: don't have a calendar in front of me, but if you can, avoid the weekends- they are the most crowded!
