Made our first ADR for Planet Holywood as our DS has always wanted to go and read really bad reviews on another site. help, what will I do. he has alsways wanted to go,

Hi Ali,
My advise to you is go... if your son always wanted to go there make it a point to do so. I have gone twice and both times I went I didnt really like anything but I did like walking around and checking out the place. Another alternative (if you like music) is to go to the Hard Rock cafe next to Universal. There food is ten times better and the decor is very much the same but instead of movies its music. You can always just go into Planet for some appitizers and leave afterwards and try something else downtown, either way you will make your son happy just for going to something he wanted to go to.

If he has always wanted to go you should go! Never mind what anyone else says. Everyone's taste is different.

Besides, if you look at reviews for ANY restaurant, hotel, movie....you will find some good and some bad.

Our DS LOVES this place. He is 10. We have never had a bad experience here. The food and service have always been good. I say go...eveyone has differing opinions.

I had the same concerns after I made our ADR for PH in August. A lot of posters replied they had good meals at PH and were happy with both the food and the service. We decided to keep our ADR and give it a try. There will always be pros and cons to every restaurant - I figured we would probably just get burgers that night anyway after all the "heavy" eating we will be doing while enjoying the DDP. I have heard they have GREAT desserts!

Just remember - you're in Disney, how bad can that be!

We have ADR's in June. We are just going to try it for ourselves and see what we think. Last year we read bad reviews for Sci-Fi and Rainforest and we enjoyed both of them.

Let DS have his wish. If you do not like it you will no next time!!

I also say GO! You won't know if you don't try it. We have eaten there a number of times and although we are easy to please, have not ordered anything we had to send back. The way I see it, when I'm on vacation, just the fact that someone else is cooking, serving and cleaning it up, I'm happy!!

Any restaurant in WDW is worth trying at least once. Even the dreaded Sci-Fi. That being said, I enjoy PH. Eat there every time I go to Myrtle Beach as well. My dad loves the pulled pork sandwich, my mom & I enjoy the turkey club, and the smoothies are wonderful (albeit small for the price). We've had slow service many times, but that's just because the place is almost always so packed when we're there. Otherwise the waiters and waitresses are top notch in my experience.

spoke to DS son last night and told him I had read some bad receiws (didn't let on though that I had made a ADR for him as a surprise ) and he said he still wants to try it. As you all say it might be fine for us and if not then we know not to book again. Minnienurse like you we liked the rainforest cafe .
