We are thinking of trying Planet Hollywood on our May trip one evening while visiting Downtown Disney. Has anyone been there recently and is the food any good ? :( I saw where I can get 10% off using my Disney Club card and the menu and prices don't look too bad! Thought my DD (12) might get a kick out of going there:p Thanks!

we were there recently & had great service & great food there....much, much better than the Planet Hollywood we are used to in Canada.....in fact, we had a AAA package that included complimentary "hamburger platters" for the 4 of us, and our waitress allowed us to get anything we wanted instead of hamburgers.....very good experience there.....a little bit of a wait, but there is so much to look at, the time goes by quickly....

We were just there in August and tried Planet Hollywood for the first time. I know alot of people do not like it but we had a really nice time there. We walked right in and only had to wait maybe 20 minutes. Had good meals and felt that you definitely got a lot of food for what you paid. We would definitely go back, the only problem we saw was that the music was *SO* loud! It's fun to eat at places like that too where they have so much advertisements for them...ya know? :p

Maybe it has improved from a couple years back - horrible, way overpriced. Burned the grilled cheese twice, gave up after that. Won't go back.

I was there in July and I was not impressed! Poor service, cold food, just a bad experience. With so much else to try in the world, I won't go back.

We ate at Planet Hollywood once a few years back, and it was ok. Not great, not horrible. You have to get there at just the right time so as not to wait forever. A friend of mine who was stationed at the Naval base in Orlando took his buddies to PH one night and they waited like 2 hours or something. We were there at like 2 in the afternoon and had to wait about 30 minutes.

Overall, I think it's kind of... generic. Of all the places to eat at Disney, don't choose PH. :) Go to the Rainforest Cafe or Wolfgang Puck's or Bongos (though it gets mixed reviews) or the Portobella Yacht Club (so yummy!).

Anyway, that's just my opinion... ;)

We always go there for lunch.... great burgers!!!

Spend your money someplace else. The 10% isn't worth the aggravation.

Agree with several of the posters--- Got right in, but encountered very LOUD music!, slow service, ok food and too costly even for Disney (I felt the burgers and salads at Cosmic Rays or Pecos Bills were just as good, if not better, and less expensive)

Will not be going back.

Hi,

We have always loved planet hollywood from the day it has opened. The new menu is even better than back then.

Our kids have always loved it and they are now all 20 somethings...yes, we have been going to disney for a long time...since the youngest was 5.

Try the LA lasagna and the cobb salad they are wonderful. We have always had great luck with the food not matter if it was a burger or a steak. (for a while all our middle child would eat was steak...lol)

Enjoy!

We have tried Planet Hollywood twice. The first time the food was great - in fact one of the best we had - but the music was so loud we skipped several year's visits before trying it again. The last trip the music was at a reasonable level and we enjoyed it much more. I would give it a try just to enjoy the atmosphere once and see all the memorabilia.

We have been to the Planet Hollywood at the Mall of America, the one in Las Vegas and we have been to the WDW one 3 times. So far, all of our meals have been great. In fact, it's one place that DD always wants to go. We plan on eating there this summer when we go.

I don't recall having a bad meal in PH. And we will probably be heading back when we are in WDW in August.

We have always liked Planet Hollywood. The food is good, the atmosphere is fun, the price is right, and my DS's always enjoy it.

If you go, be sure to see Herbie the Love Bug and the giant woody Doll.

We were there in Dec. and thought the food was good. It had been a few years since we had been back so were glad that the food was still good.

Hiya,

I wouldn't say that the food was fabulous. Most people are going for the surroundings.
