I don't see much info on PH. Is the food good? How are the steaks? We will be on the DDP, so what desserts come with it? I looked on Allears and it looks like all the desserts are for 2 people. Also, can you use the $15 voucher that you get with the MYW pkg for an appetizer?

I'm looking for 1 more dinner. We were going to go to B & C, but I'm just too afraid that we will be standing, waiting to eat for and hour or more and I don't need to get the stink eye from my 13 DS who is ALWAYS hungry!

Thanks!

I've seen a lot of people say how much they like eating at PH. I will never eat there though because it's not Disney specific.

Generally on a DP you can always add things and pay extra so I don't know why you wouldn't also be able to use the $15 voucher.

We really like eating at PH. Their food has always been good when we went, although I can't speak for the steaks. The atmosphere is really cool.....we would eat there every year and have several but we are trying some different ones this Sept!!

There is a reason they give a $15 certificate to Planet Hollywood and not to other restaurants.

The owners choose to give these vouchers as a form of promotion....each resturant with independent owners can choose to do this. If you are using the dining plan, you can not use the $15 voucher at the table. I have seen posts that state some individuals will use that for a drink or app at the bar before they are seated. Hope this helps!:)

Planet Hollywood has awesome food, steaks included! Some of the desserts are meant to be shared, but there is a wide selection of desserts that each person can get. Sadly, the $15 gift card doesn't work for appetizers. You can't use it at the same time as the DDP. But honestly, it's really nice and worth it.

I wondered about this too!

Makes sense to me. But I wonder too if it is done to try to get people to go to DTD to shop &/or go for the nightlife?

We usually skip DTD since the few times we've gone it seemed like a longer trip with the multi-bus stops. But we're considering it for our next trip since we're getting the voucher.

Anybody know their policy for making ressie's since it is a non-Disney restaurant?

We've eaten at PH a couple of times we've been to disney. We like the memorabilia, the food is pretty good, and they have some good drinks! :) However, the place is really noisy for some reason. My dad is hard of hearing, so we had to shout at him for him to hear anything, but I could barely hear what the person next to me was saying. Not so enjoyable, despite the decent food. Now we stick with Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express. These places also has good food, but now we can hear each other lol

We usually call the 407wdwdine for our ressies, however PH only takes ressies certain times....for the week in sept we are going they are not taking dinner ressies. Most people say you shouldn't have a problem just walking in! We always do DTD on our last day before heading to the airport. Our children each get 100 dollars to spend and we make them wait until our last day there to spend it.....so we take them to the world of Disney Store this has worked out really well for us!!

Thanks for the ressie info - I don't know why but I had it in my mind there was a fee attached to making a ressie with them. I must be reading too many threads & getting mixed up :)

Last time we went, my DH had the steak and it was delicious! I had the (I think it's called) LA Lasagna roll, which was really good too. I agree with the PP though, be ready for a really LOUD time. They have a big screen that they play music videos on, and a DJ type person that announces birthdays, etc. It is very lively, but don't plan on having any meaningful conversations. Oh, and also, as stated above, they have some AWESOME drinks!

We booked 2 rooms so does this mean we get 2 certificates? If so can we use them together? I'm thinking we will need to do 2 seperate bills to do this. Am I correct in my thinking?

Agreed! It was the worst meal we've ever had at any restaurant....ever! Not just at Disney. It is the ONLY restaurant we will NEVER return to. ::MinnieMo

SOOO glad I am not the only one! My brother, sister, and I ate there 1/31/10 and HATED it. Service was okay, atmosphere was cool, but the food was terrible. First and last visit- I will NEVER return to any PH.

Correct! You will recieve one per room and the bills will have to seperate! At least this was our experience.YOu cannot use these with the DDP (not sure if you are doing it just thought I'd mention it)!!;)

DH & I went last week & we were really disappointed. I got the cobb salad w/ ranch dressing & both were very nasty. (Not sure how one can mess up a salad, but it was more like a luncheon meat salad with chunks of turkey luncheon meat & swiss cheese.) DH ordered the crab cakes & he didn't like those either. I had eaten here in 2007 & 2006 and I remember liking it, but I'm almost sure that I only ordered veggie-burgers on those trips. If you've never been, it will still be a fun experience- just stay away from the cobb salad & crab cakes.

I don't care for PH at all. The food is average, and the atmosphere is way too loud, like others have mentioned. However, my wife loves it, so I suffer through it for her. I guess it's all a matter of opinion.

We will be going this July just to use up our $15 off coupon, and try some of the food. But, if you live in the United States, you might want to consider going to a restaurant a little more unique. You can find a Planet Hollywood in every major city in the USA.
