We just got back yesterday from our first, but hopefully not our last, trip to Disney. :thumbsup2

Read about it here: http://maufamily.com/2009

I still haven't written about the last day.

The reason I titled our trip report what I did is because we drove, thinking we'd go everywhere in our car but actually ended up using every form of transportation BUT our car while we were there. :lmao:

Welcome back. Your trip report is beautiful! How the heck did you do it so quickly????

Laura??? Is that you??? You're on the Dis??? I just happened to be checking on the threads I read and saw your username and I said, "Can it be???" :rotfl:

I have to run right now, but I'll be back to read. How are you?????!!!!!

OMG- Carissa! Yes, it's me! I've been on the DIS since last summer, albeit not a big poster, when we started planning our trip. We just got back yesterday.

I saw that you had replied to me and thought, could that be the Carissa I know?

I just started reading your report - but alas my lunch is over and I need to get back to work. I will finish later. We left the Wilderness Lodge on the 30th. Isn't it beautiful? We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool area.

:goodvibes It's such a small world on the internet! ;)

How exciting that you guys just took your first trip! I can't wait until I have some time to read through your TR and see pictures of the kids. We're getting ready to take our 3rd trip to Disney.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Yes, it's gorgeous. We loved the Lodge. We were on the first floor on the end overlooking the beach- the first room when you come in from the pool. We have a family of six so we were in deluxe room.

It's a small world after all! :rotfl2:

How exciting- your 3rd trip! I can't wait to start planning our second. :woohoo: :rotfl:

It's funny that part of me is already thinking about the sad feelings I have after we leave WDW this time! I know how much you want to go back the second you leave. I never thought I'd be a Disney person. :rolleyes1

I've read through Day 5 and wanted to comment before I forget!

First off - Jonathan is so big now! Hard to believe our little guys are 6 now! :goodvibes

Even though this was your first trip, it's obvious you were well prepared. The way you handled everything - you sound like a pro!

I loved how the valet guy said to Jonathan, "Hey! I've been waiting for you!" That is too cute!

It definitely takes more than a day (probably more than 2) to get through all of the countries in the World Showcase. That's one of our favorite places. Last time we were there my dad got picked to be King Arthur in that same performance you saw. I have a ton of pictures in my TR. It was so funny! :rotfl:

Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip. I'll be back!

I just finished your report. It sounds like you had a wonderful time. It's fun to read reports from people's first trips. I had to look at your signature when you mentioned Phoebe was too old for the club den. Looking at her picture I thought she was 14/15. Thanks for sharing your trip.

Yes, it's hard to believe sometimes that she's only 12.

Thanks Carissa! Yes, our little guys are growing up. Jonathan just lost another tooth today- his third so far.

We loved the World Showcase too. The kids' favorite was China. There was so much to do and see in just a few countries that we all agreed to do less slowly rather than more quickly.

I'm going to read your trip report.

Thanks for the compliment about being prepared. It is truly thanks to this website and the guidebook that I was prepared as I was! I still felt like I was a total novice though! Just wait 'til next time! :lmao:
