Planes movie promotion in the backlot tour

It was discussed on today's podcast and I have seen pictures, ill post some on here later. Walts plane in the backlot tour has gotten some eyes to make it look like a plane in the movie planes!

To me I'm not a huge fan of the backlot tour and I hope the next DHS expansion gets rid of it. I just think to do that to something of walt's with a movie that has been turned down by Pixar and gone from DVD only release to now in theaters.

What's next a movie called trains and we put eyes on the train that goes around walt disney world? What's do you guys think?

I think it's incredibly CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and shouldn't have been done to such a special piece of WDW history.

I've heard they plan to put similar pieces on the WW2 planes from "Pearl Harbor"...yep, nothing more cheerful than a movie about the U.S. being attacked.

Oh, that is really terrible. So tacky. And I'm saying that as mom to a die-hard Cars fanatic who HAS to see Planes or he will die.

FWIW, it was planned and produced as a direct to DVD product all the way but reportedly got such positive responses in trials that they decided to release it in theaters.

Well it was originally supposed to be a Pixar movie but then disney just went with instead if Pixar.
