plan for first thing at DCA

We are super excited about our first trip to DLR - including RSR. My kids also love Toy Story Mania, having beem to WDW before. What is the best plan for first thing at DCA if you want to do both? Is it feasible to ride RSR stand by right when you get into the park, then collect FPs for it, then still ride TSM without a long wait? What about working in g r abbing WOC fps? Anything else to add to the plan? We are going in a couple of days, so it will be crowded.

RSR and TSMM are the two busiest attractions in DCA in the morning, so I think whichever attraction you plan to do second will probably already have a decent length line (>30 minutes) by the time you finish the first attraction (assuming you're going to DCA on a non-EMH morning). Personally, I would probably start with TSMM (no FP there, so standby is the only option), get the RSR FP and then gauge whether you want to tackle RSR standby or not. Otherwise, if you want to ride RSR twice, then I would go with your plan (RSR standby, then RSR FP and then TSMM).

It seems like WoC FPs are lasting fairly long into the day (at least through mid-afternoon) at this point, so I would get those after you've finished with your RSR/TSMM rides in the morning.

This is basically what we do:

Line up at the rope closest to Soarin'. Head up the path by GRR. Quickly grab WOC FP if desired (have one person get them and then catch up with the family). Then continue towards TSMM. As long as the ride is open on time you should be able to get on within minutes. You may even be able to ride a second time, though maybe not since it's Spring Break and very crowded. Then send someone to get RSR FP while the rest of the group gets in line for another ride. I'd try Mater's or maybe Luigi's since it's going to be popular since it's still new.
