Hello friends!

We're staying at All Star Movies, and will have a car.
It will be me, my friend, and our two 4 year old daughters.

We are planning to rope-drop Magic Kingdom until around 11 or 12, go back to the room to relax and nap, and then head to AK for the evening. Hoping to book a FTBBQ dining package for the Jungle Book show--if anyone knows show times, please let me know!

1) Do you think driving would be the ideal transportation from ASMovies to MK, and to AK?

2) Would you recommend grabbing lunch at the park before heading back, or the food court at the hotel?

3) How long do you think we should plan to stay in the room before heading to AK... 4 hours?

4) Trying to decide when to book AK FP+ to start... maybe 5 pm?

1. I'd take bus to MK and drive car to AK. 2. Think its 192 hwy that has restaurants close to the All stars run by there for a sit down meal maybe 10 minute drive.
3. As long as you need. Pool time is fun too esp when it's so hot in summer.

1) I would definitely bus to MK. Driving to MK really isn't very convenient as you have to park at TTC and then get a ferry or monorail to MK. The bus will get you closest to the entrance. I would probably bus to AK as well. I'm really not sure how crowded the parking lot with now be at AK with the later hours and you will be getting there late in the afternoon.

2) I would grab lunch in the park. That way you can go back to the resort and simply rest. We did this all the time when my DS was younger. RD, explore the park, eat lunch and leave. Sometimes he would get so sleepy on the way back to the resort, it would have been difficult to feed him once we arrived.

3) I think 3 - 4 hours is a good time to rest.

4) I really can't answer this as I'm not sure of the show times.

I agree with most.
I, however, would grab lunch at resort. You can get it to go and still relax in the room rather than sit in food court. Our experience is that we get better food quality and better value at resorts than in park. We love love love the resort food courts.
I would want at least 4 hours back at the room with children who may nap. If no nap, just relax and swim, then 4 hours should do it. You know your kids best - trust your gut and any previous experience with long days and how the children handled it.

only thing I can add if girls fall asleep on way back to resort u would head to pool for a short swim before you try to put them down for a nap. that short down time on transportation is a killer for naps, no matter what type of transportation it may be car bus or boat
