Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

My understanding is that you should be able to book 7 days prior to your stay at the dolphin since it is considered onsite for LLMP purposes. However, it isn't known yet whether you will be able to book the rest of your days at the same time, or you will have to wait for the 7 day mark to book OKW then the 7 day mark for BR. With ADR's we have to book split stays separately and I believe the thought is that the LLMP will be treated the same. Lucky for you plenty of people will have gone on and made reservations before you need to do yours so people will post if you can book all or not.
Yes but my first 4 days is offsite and according to their policy it states I'm allowed to start booking 3 days before that for the full length of my ticket. Since I have a separate 14 day ticket connect to my account I should be able to start booking on October 31st for the full length of the ticket regardless if I'm staying on-site after that or not. But will have to see what happens. Adrs we're always separate with split stays but I don't really care about those since only book a few anyways.

I agree and don't view that as an option.

Your gonna have to take the planning to another level. Pre purchasing LLMP and pre booking the 3 LLs will lock you into 'pre determining' those touring groups in advance also. I think you may do better having each family pre purchase LLMP for Day 1, coordinate that 1st day ahead of time, each day after figure it out the evening before or morning of. ( I'd bet the groupings will be fluidly decided)
For Genie+, figuring out what you want to book the next morning isn't a problem. But when you do that for LLMP, you're giving away the perk of being able to book days in advance. At certain times of the year, that perk may not be worth much, but at other times it will.

With larger groups, perhaps pick a ride a day that you want to do all together and tell each family to choose that ride at a specific time such as 2pm. They can purchase their MPLL with that time in mind for that ride if they wish to participate. I think coordinating ALL rides together leaves no flexibility for individual families.

I'm assuming your park pass reservation does not have to match your pre-booked LLMP park? Have they confirmed this?

Has Disney said if we'll be able to book the same ride more than once? or will it be like the current G+ and only once?

The emails were sent out by mistake. 24th is still the date.
I read people got emails first before this and got super excited we could possibly purchase before we got there. Very dissappointed that disney IT made this mistake. Doesn't make me feel reassured that things will work out on launch day if they are making mistakes now.

Correct. On the plus side for you, Disney’s attendance this summer is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down, so you likely won’t have many problems getting what you want on the day of.
I don't have the fear of ride availability for that day... I fear that I can't get in to book because they system can't handle the overload of guests all rushing to purchase LLs. I hope they planned accordingly so their servers can handle that traffic. I see a lot of refunds being demanded if people buy on the 24th and then can't use it because their system is down.

Yeah, I just talked to a blue umbrella guy and he suggested focusing on booking LL for the 25th and beyond on the 24th and not even trying to get anything for that morning.

I think I'm going to go into it with the thought that I won't get anything for that day. At least then I won't be disappointed if it's a mess.

I certainly hope so as I split all the time but I'm mentally preparing for disappointment lol
I’m waiting for the 24th to see what happens. I’d really like to add a few days at new resort to my trip but if it doesn’t work with split stays I’ll stick with what I have.

Venmo requests as soon as booking is completed. Do not wait until the trip has started and if anyone hasn’t paid you by the time it does send them a reminder.

If that doesn’t sound like something you want to do then every family for themselves. Meet up for non-LL rides or maybe aim for some similar timed ILLs.

This sounds more reasonable than on putting it on one person to coordinate for all five families

This makes great sense. Are all 10 people going to actually want to ride all of the same exact rides all the time at the same ride times anyway?

I see what you are saying. That makes sense. Although it would be nice for you and others that have split stays to be able to book the 7 days out for all of your days. That's also interesting because if they don't allow the split stays to book for all of their dates at the seven day mark from the first stay, a person staying offsite with a date based ticket could actually have a better advantage (I think Lol:confused3)

Actually that's how my reservation falls at this point. A 14 day date base tickets starting off-site with my park days starting on November 3rd leaves me booking 3 days prior which would be Halloween. But if I would to go 7 days from the day I start my on-site which is November 7th that still leaves me booking it on Halloween.🤣

I've posted a variation of this question, and I've seen a few other similar posts. I haven't seen an answer so I'm guessing we won't know until it starts. Only a week to wait though! I'm hoping others will report on their experience with this particular scenario.

Just came here to report this! I’m on site with an arrival date of 7/28. See attached screenshot from the email I received. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.
I may be late to the party, but those emails are auto generated. They’re the same ones you get now but it looks like they set the “go” date to July 24. So if your arrival date is July 24 - July 30, you’ll see that email with a “begin booking” date before July 24.

Always worth it to check, but I wouldn’t depend on being able to do it.

So you're saying have one person purchase the LLMP for both families and then try to get reimbursement for the cost from them later?
The problem with that is that although I only mentioned two families (to make it simple), we actually have 5 different families that will be traveling with us but some days some of us will be touring together and other days different groups will be together. I see that as a nightmare for tracking costs and collecting reimbursement
Try the Splitwise app to help you track it.

So we are in the parks July 25-27 and this new change is super frustrating since we are on the Disney Fantasy on the 24th so we can’t book anything in advance and I fear everything will be booked up by the time we are able to try.
