Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I'm seeing scattered reports on various FB pages today that resort guests who arrive after 7/24 but whose 7 day booking window opens prior to that are getting emails saying they'll be able to prebook. Obviously take it with a huge grain of salt because it's FB but I know we have a few folks in this thread who mentioned their trips fall during the changeover, and y'all may want to keep an eye out on your email. I'm very curious to see if anyone here can confirm that.

Just came here to report this! I’m on site with an arrival date of 7/28. See attached screenshot from the email I received. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.

I just got an email saying I can purchase on July 21st- I arrive on the 28th.
Such a dumb question but when you say "arrive" - is this the day you check in or first park day (I am still confused on park revs)?

We are checking in on Sept 22 so i would be able to choose my LL on Sept 15th?

I haven’t gotten an email. We get there 7/27

The people I saw on FB saying they got emails also all check in on 7/28. I wonder if they're sending the emails out in batches based on check in dates.

We check in on the 28th. We do not have a park reservation that day.

We have a little hiccup with purchasing as I have a CM who is getting some of our party in on her guest passes. In the past it meant she had to be the one who logged in and purchased Genie+ for the group. Haven't heard from her about if they have even been told how this will all work.

I received the same - however, arriving on 7/27 with a 7/20 date to purchase LL. I will log-on just to see!

If someone has non dated tickets, would they be able to select 3 attractions (for research purposes), then not purchase?

Do you need park reservations for non dated tickets?

Yes. I have some old non-dated, non-expiring tickets and I have to make park reservations.

I am happy about this for the people it effects. But seriously, Disney needed to do a better job announcing this. People have been confused, annoyed and worried about this since the initial announcement.

Same. Hoping we get one and can make ours the 19th.
Even if you don't get the email, you may want to try booking on the 19th. I don't think whether you get the email or not will make a difference. The question is whether the new system will be in place and working before the 24th. The Disneyworld website says one thing; the emails say another.

I have been wondering if it’s a coding glitch in the automated emails. Also wondering if it could vary based on value, moderate, deluxe hotel stay?

It quite possibly could be a glitch. It is also possible that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. But which is right? We will find out, but I feel sorry for people who will be going soon. They may not find out before experiencing some frustrations at 7:00 on a morning or two.

I agree! I’ll be ready to log-on on the 20th but won’t be expecting to get in. Hopefully the site won’t crash.
Also was hoping to enjoy the lower than average crowds this summer, but think it’ll be very busy with “influencers” in the parks who will be testing out different ways to book etc. which may skew the actual experience (if that makes sense).
