Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Can my wife create her own Disney account, link all our information including tickets and party, and make reservations for 3 days out of 7 while I make the reservations for the other 4 days? Is that recommended or might glitch the app and cause more issues?
Yes and it will make your scheduling of LLMP and/or LLSP simpler and less stressful. You don't need quite all the items you listed. You don't need to link tickets or even duplicate everyone in both MDE accounts.

You currently have everyone in MDE account and you "manage" tickets, resort, and LLMP and/or LLSP for all. As @LKing suggested spend a little time review the thread listed and let us know when you have further questions.

Ok Dave, thank you. Few more questions

1. My wife does not have a Disney account. I have her profile as a guest/family member on my party. she never did anything before, so she is clueless lol. So based on what I am reading, she needs to create her own Disney account. Then she downloads the MDE app on her phone. On her app, she will scan the QR code on my phone and then she will be linked to my plans/reservations and tickets? Do I need to do anything else?

2. Once she is linked, she will be able to book different days than I am booking for our trip, correct?

3. Once she does book the LL, will that automatically show up on my app? Will I be able to make any modifications even though I was not the one that initially booked the LL? My wife does not want to do anything with the app later on during out trip. I want to have 100% control of everything. Will that be possible?

Thanks

I am a US citizen and I just found out I will be in Canada on a work trip on my 7 day LL booking morning.

Will this cause me any issues?

Strategy question for you pros in the group: I have not visited since the dreaded 7 AM wake up and book lighting lane days. I am looking forward to LLMP 7 day advance booking this coming weekend. Why do multi-pass times start at 9 AM some days, 10 AM other days, and worse 11 AM on other days? Strategy wise, as an example, I am wondering if the days that has slinky dog starting really late, may make it sell out quicker? (if there is another thread for this please let me know!)

I'm sure this may have been asked. But when I prebook 7 days out, can I make an ILL purchase for one park in the AM and a 2nd purchase for later that same day at a different park? Say FOP and then later for GOG at Epcot? This would be besides my MPLL 3 picks for the first park.

Yes LLSP attractions can be in any park with a limit of 2 LLSP attractions per day. And as a reminder you will need a Park Hopper to visit multiple parks per day.

If I have park reservations and make LLMP selections for one park, but modify my park reservation to a different park, will it affect my existing LL selections?

We have three people in our group and I’ll be buying the lightning lane multipass for everyday but one (going to an after hours party one night) - can I pay for all of the days we want and then start selecting rides or do I have to buy each day separately?

Because people who arrive before you and have longer trips have already booked the earlier times. It’s just like ADRs. The system advantages booking the earliest LL slots available and the most popular rides are always going to go first.

Get what you can when your window opens then keep checking back.

No but you can't enter your first park of the day without a reservation.

You purchase each day individually. You normally select the day, up to 3 LLMP attractions, and select each days return times within the 5 minute purchase window.

Thanks - so you only have 5 minutes to make the selections? I pretty much know what we want but I just hope the times available work out. Does only next time available show up or is it set up that you can pick any time frame throughout the day?

You can select from available times.

Does the app hold your time selections for 5 minute while you are checking out or is there a chance I could get to the end and it say that the times I selected are no longer available?

Would it be smarter to purchase LLMP for different parks first and then go back and purchase LLSP?

This is a long thread. Is there a post or video somewhere that shows the pictures of what the screen looks like when you book LLMP and LLSP? I've watched videos of the process, but usually someone is showing their face as they narrate. I'm looking for a video or pictures of the app as they tap through the different selections.

Is LLSP a separate transaction/screen from LLMP? Would it be smarter to purchase LLMP for different parks first and then go back and purchase LLSP? Or, if we have two people booking at the same time, should one do LLSP and the other do LLMP or should we each focus on different parks?
This step-by-step guide may be what you are looking for: https://touringplans.com/blog/how-to-use-lightning-lane-pass-disney-world-guide-faq-llmp-llsp/

You can buy LLMP and LLSP in the same transaction. Whether you should or not is a matter of opinion. Since you can only buy one day at a time, I would have two people working on different days rather than one doing LLMPs and the other LLSPs. Also, the arguable benefit of doing LLMP and LLSP separately is greater flexibility regarding the LLSP time. But coordinating the LLSP and LLMP times would, I think, be more difficult with two people doing it online at the same time.

It holds them for 5 minutes to give you time to check out
