Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I apologize ahead of time, I know this has been answered, but reading through all the pages will take forever. Is the LLMP only good for one park? So if we buy it for Epcot and use the selections in the morning, can we then make selections at Magic Kingdom in the afternoon if we hop over there?

Has anyone seen reports of it being harder to get afternoon LLMP’s over the past week, since it is rumored that Disney increased the capacity for LLPP?

I have read every post on this thread in preparation for our January trip.
I thought I would share our experience. Hopefully, someone gets a tip they can use.
We picked our rides for the parks today. We did three LLSP and two LLMP. Total of eight people. The anxiety was BIG.
Planning that helped us:
Decide what your early entry ride is going to be. You will be doing this ride before your LL selected rides.
Have a backup ride in mind, in case you can't get a ride you want.
Have a general idea of what rides you are going to be doing in each park. This helps if there is time to ride between the LL rides you buy. Or in case you have to pick another ride to buy.
Have at least two credit cards saved. As we went to purchase today, Disney would not accept our first credit card. We loaded another. We got through four purchases and then needed a new card
Have at least two people working on this. One person could have easily made the purchases, but it was nice to have someone to discuss plans with.

We logged on at 7:00am.
Day 1-Animal Kingdon/Flight of Passage as a LLSP. Got it.
Day 2-Epcot/Guardians of the Galaxy/Epcot as a LLSPP. Got it.
Day 3-Hollywood Studios/Rise of the Resistance. Also, LLMP-got what we wanted.
Day 4-Magic Kingdom/LLMP. Our first glitch-the Jungle Cruise did not show up. We refreshed, closed out and went back in, googled to see if it was closed. Decided we needed to move on without Jungle Cruise. Got three rides we liked.
Day 5-Magic Kingdom. No LL.
We got all of our rides in the morning, which is what we wanted.

With the planning I did and the understanding I had, selecting and buying the LL was easy. Took about fifteen minutes. I felt drained and relieved once we were done.

What type of error did you receive when trying to purchase with your first Credit Card and was it one that you have had listed in your MDE Account profile for a while and were you both using the same Credit Cards?

As a note to others: you are able to store up to 6 forms of paymnent in your MDE Account profile.

There have been several reports today of Jungle Cruise not being available early next year. It appears related to the switch back to the regular version from the Jingle Christmas overlay.

The error message was along the line of-"Disney will not accept this credit card. Please try another card." I had not loaded this card until this morning. My daughter also loaded this card. I did the Day 1 transaction and purchased, and then, with the same card, my daughter did the Day 2, finished and purchased. After two more transactions, which went fine," the message-"this card can no longer be used," came up.

That can happen with any card, fraud algos use a variety of methods to catch suspect charges. Good thing you were prepped!!

It did not sound like @cruising spud was tripping the Fraud feature of their Credit cards but sounds like Disney was interpreting the transaction return code. Most reports in the past customers just said the transaction failed. @cruising spud did mention they were purchasing for a travel party of 8

@cruising spud did you happen to get a Push Notification from your CC processor or and email about possible Fraud being detected?

Here is the list of payment methods accepted:
Manually - Disney Gift Cards.

It is also weird that your initial Payment method was added to your MDE Account profile but it would not accept it for payment just a short time later.

Dave, I actually have no idea about a fraud alert. Since there are eight of us going to Disney, we decided to use one credit card, if possible, and then we would each reimburse that family member for the cost. My daughter, whose card we initially used, is not here at my home right now. She gave me her the credit card info for two separate cards at Christmas. The first one was rejected, and we used the second one, which was good for four purchases. Once that card was denied, we switched to another card for the last purchase. All I can think of was both these cards were Australian cards (she and her family live in Australia). Maybe there was a glitch with an overseas card?

I had read that you should have several cards ready to go when selecting rides, because there have been reports of denials because of the repetitious activity of selecting rides. We had additional cards ready to go.

This purchase taught me that-
If you prep and ready yourself, the process is fairly easy. BUT, have back up plans ready for every possible thing that can go wrong. For us it was-no Jungle Cruise and the use of the credit cards.
Also, another one of my daughters was my "purchase partner." We discussed what we were doing as a team. This was invaluable.

Ah, yes International Credit Cards are handled a little differently and would explain the messages you received that we don't normally have reported unrelated to declined transactions or incorrect Fraud detection alerts.

Thank you for the update.

Yes for travel groups it is great to have a LLMP and/or LLSP purchase partner to balance the selections and as a verification step if anything pops up along the way.

What would you do? We are a party of 4 adults and a 1 year old, with 2 park day tickets and 1 after tickets. 2 adults are arriving mid day the 2nd day of the trip.

The 2 adults arriving early will need to purchase 1 extra park day upon arrival for an extra day in Epcot.

Would you book LLMP for the 1st 2 park days (Epcot) or LLMP Epcot & Animal Kingdom and chance our first Epcot day?

I’d chance the first EP day. There is plenty to keep 2 adults occupied in EP and this way you don’t lose the money if travel plans go awry. Fwiw this would be a good day to single rider Remy since the child won’t be there.

No. You just select 1 park and make up to 3 LLMP attraction selections. One you tap in to your first attraction then you are able to make your next attraction at any park as long as you have the Park Hopper option.
Good to know, so other parks/rides will be available in the app after i click in the first queue. Hoping to get a ride on Big Thunder after a full day at AK. *Fingers crossed*

I just selected all my LL's and I'm wondering if there are any rides that you can not ride without some type of skip the line? I remember last year you had to either VQ or G+ to ride Tron, but I'm assuming there aren't any rides that require something anymore? (everything has a standard queue option?)

I'm only buying for LL 2 of my 4 days, so I'm not sure if i should plan for anything or is there things i shouldn't bother without some sort of LL.

Tiana is a VQ or LLMP with no Standby Queue only at MK. GotG is still a VQ or LLSP at Epcot.

Gotcha, and since i already bought 2 LLSP at MK that day, i can't buy a 3rd one for Epcot later that night, so i just have to hopefully grab a VQ, can a VQ be modified?
Oh or wait, isn't there a 5pm VQ for EEH? That's the one i can't miss, right?

Correct only 2 LLSP per guest per day. And No a VQ boarding group can't be modified.

Actually it is 6 PM on nights where EEH is happening but you could still miss the window if you are not paying attention to East Coast times...

What the heck? 1/21 and 1/22 are $35 MK LLMP days? We are arriving on 1/22, so wasn't planning to buy till 1/23, but not looking good for our week ☹️. We are going 1/22 - 1/28 (the other families in our group are coming 1/23 - 1/28. Crowd calendars before the trip looked like this was supposed to be a slow time. After the holiday crowds, marathon, MLK weekend, and cheer competitions. Can't tell if this is just disney getting greedy with the prices or if crowds are going to be WAY higher than I expected this week.
