Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Booked everything for a 10 night trip. Had a spreadsheet with high priorities first (12/25 and 12/30) and checked off each. Modifying LLs was easy (could even get Tiana in the morning but was prepared looking at thrill data). Exception was Space220 lounge blocking off 2 hours post ADR (need to book 2 ADRs for our party of 5). ADRs could not be shifted around. Fortunately most enchanted extras were booked on resort days or evenings.

For peak times they really should remove the max 2 LLSPs. We are short on time with park hopping.

Total time spent was 35 mins (had to review again to make sure I had everything). Adds up quick but I already had estimates.

Overlapping was not a big issue but the system allows 15-20 mins only. To minimize runaround (we don’t necessarily need to see the fireworks at 9:30 pm and we are taking the monorail so want to be towards the front of the park at closing) we didn’t overlap further (Epcot is the worse in terms of bottlenecks in world showcase and can take 20 mins just to wiggle out of there with a stroller)

Book MK and Hs first (might move TOT to pm to reduce runaround). These are later in my trip. Day 2 MK LLSPs for SDMT and Tron were only available 6 pm+

How long did ROTR LLSP take on/around Thanksgiving (if anyone has experience). We have a mid day break and an ADR (takes away 6-7 hrs).

I book HS for Sunday the 22nd hoping to get things in the morning, but the first one isn't until 12:35 and the last one is 5:30 but I have a 7pm dinner reservation in another location.

I wanted to be out of any park by 3pm to relax at hotel and then go to dinner.

Should I which this to another park or another day or try to do a rope drop and try to edit the morning of?

Switched Epcot to be in the world showcase during extended evening (forgot about that!). Might get a 6 pm VQ for GOTG. We have a 5:20 ADR which is impossible to move. Booths will have 30+ min waits so not banking on that either.

Don’t move SDD, you might loose the time. You can move your tier 2s and try to see if you can overlap. 5:30 pm and 7 are too close. I’m also trying to move ADRs into parks to save time to no avail.

SSD is the 5:30 time. I do have the same lineup for the 27th in the morning, though

I switched Sunday HS with Monday EP and got better times for both days.

So Sunday EP the last one is 3:30. That gives the option to go back to the hotel or take the monorail later to Ohana's.

I bought the LLMP every day but 1.

So Sunday if I want to ride GOTG, I have to get up at 7am and try to join a VQ?

You could purchase a LLSP for it but you need to be up about 5 minutes before 7 AM to be ready to start your time sync and practice refreshing the VQ screen and don't forget to try for a 1 PM VQ since you will have entered Epcot.

So if we book a VQ at 7 am for GoTG can we enter the park around 5 pm and use it or does it expire? Trying to save some runaround from Disney Springs. Earliest we could make it into the park is 1:30 but we’d rather take a resort break before extended evening.

Officially it expires after you BG is called and it's 1 hour return window passes.

The Great News is that they have never enforced VQ times at GotG and I don't expect them to start in the next 2 weeks.

That is good news but I sometimes think that creates the longer lines in the later hours.
If you have enough flexibility and Guardians is Important to your family , consider arriving as soon as possible to avoid those longer lines at end of the day , plus possibility of mechanical issues disturbing your flexible return .

Thanks for this thread! I'm doing my first LL booking for our Christmas trip. I figure we'll need them. I've been studying up but there's a few questions I still need help with . So here goes...

1. Can I book passes for my family members on my MDE and not for myself? There are 2 days when my nieces want them and I don't.

2. Will my family members be able to see the LL plans on their MDE ?

3. I will be purchasing all the LLs on my app. Am I the only one who can modify or add new rides for the rest of my family?

I can still add LLMPs in the am on 12/25 (good availability). Currently we only have Tron (planning to hop to AK). Many ADR are being dropped. Saw Space220 lounge for 2 (multiple times available on 12/25)

Yes as part of the process you select the members of you travel party the will purchasing a LLMP and/or LLSP. You can even Modify the specific guests or subset of guests to different initial LLMP and/or LLSP selections. Same rule applies as you select additional LLMP attractions, you can include everyone or just select an additional LLMP for a subset of your travel group.

Yes if you are able to see them in your Friends & Family list, you shared plans, and they have their own MDE. For guests just listed under your MDE and does not have their own MDE then you will need to manage their plans.

Same answer is # 2. above with the addition that they can purchase additional LLMP and/or LLSP attractions, and also charge any new purchases to their individual MDE account and payment methods.

This is more of a general question of the app. I have the MDE account with DW and DD as managed guests.
If they load the app on their phones, would they create their own user id and pw and link back to my reservation or would they sign on using my credentials?

Normally they should enter their own Email address and create their own MDE account and then link to your MDE account using the Friends & Famly option. If your DD is still under 13 she can't officially create her own MDE account.

Yes they could load the MDE app on their own smartphone and simply use your MDE Account Email account and password. But that is not recommended if multiple individuals will be actively managing your plans & activities. For example if 2 of you are trying to make a change at the same time the results can be very unpredictable.

Can you please explain a bit more what you’re asking? I don’t really understand.

A VQ can be used anytime from when it’s called until park close.

Eg. If Epcot closes at 9PM, someone whose VQ is called at 11AM can join the queue anytime from 11:00AM until 8:59PM.

Wow for 12/28, I’m allowed to overlap ROTR significantly more than the LLMP. Family is not huge Star Wars fans (I just tried to book; family is still on the fence abut spending $125 for our party of 5):
