Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

We had this issue when we went in August as my youngest is too short to ride some rides. Honestly, it was a pain, since I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to cancel or modify his LL once we were in our return window. There's a possibility that it's been corrected since then, but if I were you I'd probably make the LL for everyone, and try to get them to make a decision before your window opens. I'm booking my LLMP for our MK day tomorrow, and I plan to book everything for everyone, but then cancel anything I know my younger son won't be able to go on.
Your point about not being able to modify once you've in your return window - this was something I was wondering about because you used to be able to do this under Genie+.

So once you're in your window you can't modify it or cancel? But as long as you are before your return window you can?

That was my experience at the beginning of August. I'm not sure if they've changed that or not.

Please let me know if this will work. At 7 days out all 6 of us book TSM, ToT and Alien Saucers and plan to hop to MK in the afternoon. We all ride TSM and before our ToT window opens we cancel the 3 that decide not to ride ToT. They don't book anything else and are just waiting for those riding ToT to finish. Can all 6 then book something in MK? Am I correct that since all purchased for HS, then as long as all have done 1 ride that was booked then all are free to choose things in other parks? You only have to do 1 ride in your purchased park in order to unlock the ability to purchase in other parks?

So if instead at 7 days out we book all 6 for HS and choose 6 for TSM, 3 for ToT and 6 for Alien Saucers we won't have any issues booking other parks with 3 having only done 2 rides in the purchased park?

Sorry for the confusion and certainly appreciate the help provided. We leave in 3 weeks!

Let's start with this example first since it is the simplest to explain to guests. Yes you can make your LLMP selections using this method but it is complex, takes extra time on your purchase day, and you run the risk of missing members of your group as you select and remove members for a LLMP selection. The reason for the complexity is that you select your travel group very early in the selection / purchase process for your LLMP selections.

Normally you make up to 3 LLMP selections for you entire group, chose a return time and then complete the purchase as a single transaction.

This is the best method to chose. In this case the 3 that ride ToT can even chose the next attraction for MK after ToT for the entire group as soon as they tap in to ToT and pass the 2nd tap point. Since all 6 have already been to TSM.

Can all 6 then book something in MK? Am I correct that since all purchased for HS, then as long as all have done 1 ride that was booked then all are free to choose things in other parks?
Yes that is the normal function of LLMP. They just need to physically enter HS, tap into 1 LLMP attraction in your examples and all will have Multi Park LLMP unlocked and the removal of the Tier restrictions.

Does this make sense at this point?

Yes, that makes sense and I very much appreciate your help and patience in explaining this to me!!

This is probably a really dumb question but I haven't been since 2021 and they just keep changing things. Can I buy the LL things on the website MDE at the 7 days prior or do I have to use the app? Is one better than the other?

Question for the experts-

Can you book just 2 LLMP to start, then add the 3rd one in later?

Reason- we stay off site with date based tix, so book 3 days ahead. In the old FP+ days, when there were only scraps left for offsite people booking in the 30 days out, I found it a helpful strategy for refreshing and trying to “add in” a desirable headliner.

Thanks!!

Well, today was my booking window. Had myself and Hubby up at 7am to get things squared away.

Had Tiana where I wanted it but the system would NOT let me apply my gift card despite showing I had enough balance. When I tried to change payment methods, I lost the slot. I know others have had issue with GCs as well.

I ended up calling to see if there was anything they could do about charging LLMP to my credit card despite having gift card balance (they could not unless I wanted to cancel everything and start over) and to see if anything could be done about the Tiana I had in hand that I lost because of their payment method not working. They were able to give me an anytime pass for Tiana that day, so that's something!

The gift card thing is really annoying. I work hard to stock pile when I can get a deal on GCs, so it sucks that I'm paying with a credit card instead of the discounted funds I have. Glad they were able to help with Tiana, because it's a short trip and we didn't have another window to shove that one in.

Yes, you can have up to three active LLMP reservations at a time. There is no requirement that you always have three. You have to book at least one when making your purchase. The others can be added later.

So I had a similar issue with using a GC a few days ago. I realized there was a nonintuitive button you had to click to be able to use the GC. I can try to replicate it for anyone else who might have this issue.

How is the button labeled? I won’t be booking LLMP until early January, but I need to have time for new information to soak into my brain! TIA!

Please share. I will be using gift cards next week when I buy my LLs.

Sounds like you missed the stupid button. I don't recall it exactly but I think there is a button that says something like "no payment on cc" or similarly idiotic. My first time I charged like $.01 to my cc thinking I had to do that to push it through but the next booking I noticed the button.

I'm booking in a week, if no one tries before then with a gc I'll try to remember to screenshot it.

My LLMP day is coming up soon! I saw a few comments somewhere about scheduling LL and being blocked from times you have ADRs. Can anyone share their experiences with that? I have an ADR or two I'm on the fence about and I might make the decision to cancel them, at least for now, if it would keep me from getting possible LL. TIA!

I'm not 100% sure but we have a 1030 breakfast ADR and I couldn't get anything before 1135.

The next day we have a lunch at 105pm I couldn't get anything from 1230-2.

Coincidence? Times prior and after were available......

Thanks. That's exactly what I was afraid of. I think I might dump my early ADR so I'm able to book LLs and then go back and get a new ADR if I want to later.

They will limit what LL times you can book. I dumped my lunch ADRs the day before booking LLs and picked them after booking LLs- although it was a quiet time during Sept so don't depend on being able to get yours back. After booking LLs you can book ADRs at anytime of day, the rule only goes one-way (LLs won't overlap with booked ADRs but ADRs will overlap with booked LLs).
