Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

This is a question that I am sure has been answered a hundred times over, but I've read several pages of this thread and must have overlooked it - your booking window starts at 7 days before you check in. So if I check in on Friday, the previous Friday would be when I would be eligible to make my purchase and reservations.

What time? 7am ET?

And when can I find in advance exactly how much each park will cost per person? We check in 12/6. Thank you!

My question is this - do my park pass reservation and the park at which I make my first lightning lanes with Multipass have to be the same?
No. Your park reservation just determines which park you must enter first.

My plan is to start at Animal Kingdom and that is where I have my park pass reservation. I would prefer (if possible) to make my 3 starting LLMP at my 2nd park, DHS as I only plan to be at AK long enough (7:30 early entry) to do FOP, NRJ and KS before hopping to DHS.
Yes this will work just fine but as a reminder you can't add a 4th LLMP selection or remove the Tiers until you actually tap into one of your 3 initial LLMP selections. And in your case it would be at HS.

Can this be done? Or will I have to make my OG LLMP at DAK?
Yes very easy to do and no need to make your original LLMP selections at AK.

And will getting to IG by 8am be sufficient if Earlh Entry officially starts at 8:30? We planned on leaving the Swan at 7:45 and
Honestly. I'd probably plan on being at the entrance 45 mins. ahead of time. When they say early entry begins at 8:30; that typically means that's the latest they'll let you on the ride.

Before that; you're rope dropping security, then the tapstyles, then you'll wait in line on thebright side of bridge, then they'll take you over the bridge (unfortunately not in a line), and then they'll escort you to the ride to walk through the que before actually getting on the ride.

To be in the first pack.of rope droppers; you want to try to be at your mode of transportation 90 mins. prior to opening. Since you won't have to worry about transportation; I think being at the entrance of security about 45 mins. prior shpuld be good.

Correct 7am ET.
IIRC you would be able to see the price 21 days in advance, when the first people have the ability to book LLMP.

Yes that is the easiest way to remember when your 7 day window starts. Same day of the week as your check-in day just 1 week earlier.

Yes 7 AM ET.

The calendar displayed in MDE for LLMP and/or LLSP is a rolling 21 day window. So you will know your cost for each park on 126/, 21 days ahead.

Wonderful!

Yes, I understand about not being able to make a 4th LLMP until I tap into the first one at DHS.

Thanks so much! :flower1:

Thank you both!!

Booked all my Lightning Lanes this morning for my 7-day trip and got everything I wanted. Even Remy at 5:50 the night I arrive, and Tiana my fifth day at the exact time I wanted.

The process was smooth and easy with no glitches. I did most of my modifying before purchase to overlap LLs a little get better times, then went back and in made some minor tweaks later after plugging everything into my Touring Plans.

Overall this system seems like a big improvement over previous iterations. Love having a good touring strategy in advance. Hate the price, but that is what it is.
When I booked my LL in early Sept the system would not allow me to overlap times until after I had actually used my first LL each day and of course by then the times I wanted were unavailable.

As @JoJoGirl said, you have to modify them when booking. I just did mine for this weekend and was able to overlap what I wanted to.

It’s pretty quick to modify. For other posters, move the least desired of your choices out of the way. For example if want early times move the earliest you have to night. Then modify the ride you want 1st and see what’s available, if find book. If not try choice 2 if that gets you the time you want keep that and then try your 1 again, work good ?move 3 and you are done.

Sometimes like for SDD to get a morning time it might be the last ride of the morning because you can’t find an early enough ride but can fit 2 and 3 early so it works.

For evening do the same just move stuff out of the way to the morning.

For MNSSHP/mvmcp I have done this for old FP+ and for MNSSHP this year. I stack my 3 from start 3:30-6. That really means I can ride 3 from 4:45-6 if I use the 15 min grace period for my first ride. You can also book the singles and put them anywhere you want . For my MNSSHP I had 3 rides plus Tron and SDMT . It was gonna be hard to get on all of the rides by 6 but it rained and my Tron, SDMT were changed to anytime and they let me use the lightening lane DURING the party . That worked because I was an AP and Party ticket holder.

can you please clarify what is this touring plan strategy? Thanks

How hard is it to get Remy and Frozen on the same day? For example, if I book Remy in advance and have a 9am "throwaway" to Pixar or the Land or something, how likely will I be able to get Frozen? If I am willing to refresh throughout the day?

I'm not sure if its worth it to pay for LLMP just to get Remy. That's essentially LLSP pricing and I don't think Remy alone is worth that. It doesn't really seem like you really need it for any of the other rides.

Thoughts?

Looking for advice on a 1/2 day visit to Animal Kingdom on Sunday 11/10 which is a holiday weekend. I'm trying to figure out if we can get away without paying for Lightning Lane that day (just 2 of us), as only have a few attractions we want to do. Ideally arriving by 9:30 and leaving by 2, as we'll have early park mornings the other 3 days, and are heading to Disney Springs that evening after a break at the resort. Also hoping to do walk-up waitlist for Nomad lounge on MDE app if it works out. Below are our key attractions. Appreciate any thoughts as to whether/how this can be done!

- Kilimanjaro Safari
- Kali River
- Lion King show
- Possibly Navi River (but is least impt)
- Explore a few of the animal trails

Ok Disers HELP!!! I booked passes & on our 1st one it only has my DD & not 8 of us😩😩 the others are fine

We have a grandmother that was added after our passes, she has paid for passes & has passes but we need her with us, please advise🙏

Our plan is to book the same LLMP for everyone in our party of 10. There are some rides only 7 of us will go on. What do we do to ensure we can all book our next LL?

Well what are the 3 going to do while the 7 ride a LLMP?

They could always walk through the attraction(s) with the rest of the group and tap into the attraction that way everyone stays synced up for making additional LLMP selections as a group.

Hello!! This thread is great!!

My Question: I have a reservation for Trattoria Al Forno on 12/11, a Wednesday morning, at 7:35am. Will I be able to rope drop Remy?

But---won't you be paying for rides not used? That gets expensive if you keep doing it...you're paying per person, right? I have three people in my group and one person won't ride everything. Any other options? Thank you!!

Yesterday was my day to purchase and select LL. I have to say I was very happy how it worked. Was able to get everything I wanted and at times that I wanted. Was surprised that it was easy to modify times and compact them into less than an hour between LL. I am looking forward to our trip, and like previous FP+, we have 3+ rides reserved every day. This is what Genie + should have been from day 1. would I prefer it still be free like FP+ was? Absolutely! However, this is a huge step up from Genie +.

Yes you pay per person. In your case why would you purchase LLMP and/or LLSP for the 3rd person that does not ride anything? You don't have to purchase for everyone in your travel party for any or all days.

Do you have more details to add to your question?

@jwsoarin was trying to keep their group of 10 together and sync up on attractions where everyone would ride. You can't have everything.

No, hubby will ride some of the rides I book (LLMP) but not all of them. TY. So I guess he will scan and walk away without riding....then ride the other ones in order to keep in sync. I haven't been to Disney in 11 years so I'm trying to wrap my head around all the changes .
