Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I don't believe you can get past the screen where you select who you are buying for without someone being eligible. You cannot do a complete "dry run." You should be able to see the calendar screen and the screen with the prices before getting to the screen where you select who you are buying for.

Edit: If you can't see a box on your MDE home page that refers to Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Single Pass with a "purchase" button, I'm guessing you haven't updated your MDE app in months. Tapping on that "purchase" button is one of the ways to get to the Lightning Lane calendar screen.
Thank you!

I can't (yet) tell if the moving window on the App for LLMP/LLSP purchases is moving with the date, or with my Split state start

I have a 3night / 4night (DVC) split coming up - and the only dates I can "pick" as of today, are the first 3 in the App

that may be coincident with a rolling window - but it worries me that I'm not going to be able to select days 4-7 as of right now.
First date is 10/22 and right now I can't select anything past 25th - which is my changeover date.
Regardless - my date-based tix are only good for 10/22 and beyond- keeping my fingers crossed

If I still see gray tomorrow for my 4th day I'll be bummed- 10/15 is when I hoped to book all 7 days

It is a 21 day rolling window of dates.

Your dates will appear and your Split Stay is not an issue as long as they are linked in your MDE.

I have a split stay coming up a bit earlier from 10/14-10-19 you and no matter which day I click on it says I can book on the 7th. Once the later days are within 21 days you should see when it will let you book. I think like @Dave006 said they are just over 21 days out so you can't check on them all yet

First time using the new LL system. A little annoyed. I went on this morning to book 8 days out for MK day (10/13). No availability for either Tiana or Tron. How is this advantageous for resort guests if we still can't get rides 8 days in advance?

I believe you can only book 7 days in advance so guessing that is why you are not seeing any availability. (?)
No, it's my 2nd day. I arrive the previous day. Booked everything for the day before and after and had to pick PP instead of Tiana and Tron is already closed

It's Columbus Day weekend, lots of schools have days off the week before and after making it a prime long weekend visit. Our arrival is Thurs 10/10, and I was able to snag afternoon times for Tiana and TRON for Fri 10/11 (8 days out), but booking things on 10/13 at Hollywood Studios was actually a little more constrained and that was 10 days out for me.

So, we are doing park hopping the day we bought our fast passes. After buying them, I realized that I didn’t see an option to purchase park hopping fast passes (LL). Are those still a thing? And if so, will I be able to convert them?

The system would not let me modify 9am MUPPETS to a 9am STAR TOURS. After several attempts, since this was all intended to be for practice with 2 easy to get rides, I cancelled the 9am MUPPETS and was then able to get the 9am STAR TOURS.
I thought we could modify a selection without canceling the first. 🧐
(By the way- it did offer me a later time for Star Tours to modify to but would not let me modify to the same time even though it was available.)

There is no park hopper option for Lightning Lane Multi Pass. You buy it for the park where you will first use it and book LLMP reservations (up to 3) at that park. After you tap in to one of those reservations at that park, you will be able to make LLMP reservations at the other parks, assuming your ticket allows park hopping. You can have up to three active (i.e. unexpired) LLMP reservations at a time. Until you tap into one of your LLMP reservations, they must all be in the park which you bought LLMP for.

Was this test before you actually entered HS? We have seen this in the 7 day window between purchasing and actually entering the park.

You are able to modify but that is more of a "day o"f vs before your park day.

Thanks for your response.
I’m lucky I do have 3LL all before noon and will look forward to experimenting more in the park.

We are just now seeing how busy times and LL availability will shake out. Do remember others with longer trips have been booking LLs for a couple weeks for your dates. Yes, you’ve got an advantage being a resort guest but resort guests have a hierarchy in this system, the longer your stay and tickets the further out you can book.

Also a good reminder to all to check Thrill Data availability the night before purchasing in case you need to adjust your game plan!

I bought our LL yesterday. I got everything I wanted but it was not the most intuitive system, I found changing times really complicated and frustrating but was eventually able to do it.

Yes, you got it. Prebooked selections were Pixar at exactly 9, then Remy, then Spaceship Earth.
Thank you again for this information.

I will be staying at BWVs. Should I still do Pixar for 9 am? Should I try to get Frozen and do Remy as Standby if we are coming from International Gateway? Thank you SO much!

If a park opens 30 minutes prior for resort guests, what time can I start booking my FPs? Do they
begin at normal park opening (for instance, if MK opens for all at 8 am, can I start FP at 8 am?).

Also, I will be coming in first with my BFF and then she is leaving and my mom and sister coming.
SO, I'm guessing if I want to to FPs for all and use two different cards for first part of trip and second, I will need to close out and then start new with the new card. Is this correct?

Thank you all so much. I begin this process on Thursday for my trip that starts next Thursday.

No not if you are planning to take advantage of the on-site 30 minute Early Entry (EE). I am not sure that you want to walk all the way to Pixar just to unlock Tiers and Multi Park LLMP selections.

I would just hit Remy as you enter from the IG gate. You should already have a Frozen LLMP for your 7 day advanced pre booked LLMP selections. Remy is easy to hit via the Standby Queue first thing after entering Epcot.

Yes you can only book for normal Park Hours. The LLMP and/or LLSP selection options start right at park opening (normal hours). But your first LLMP and/or LLSP time offered may be at 10/20/30 minutes after the hour. Do you need them that early no but why not always have 3 selected and use your first one to unlock Tiers and Multi Park LLMP selections.

You book LLMP and/or LLSP by the day so just book for your travel party for the days they will be with you at the Parks. No need to close out and start new. Just have both your Payment Methods already setup in MDE under your Account before you start booking your first day of LLMP and/or LLSP selections.

For each day you chose your Travel Party that you want to include in your pre-purchased LLMP and/LLSP selections and then pay for each day one at a time. Does that make sense to you?

THANK YOU SOOOO much!
Yes, it alll made sense to me!
So, I will book Frozen and do Remy standby since we plan on RD and not have to run to Pixar. Thank you.

I also thought I paid for all the days in once transaction so this is also so helpful that it is day by day that I pay.

Yes, with my bff we plan on RD so I do want to maximize our FPs so will start early in the morning.
We arrive next Thursday so I'm hoping I get what we want since all that arrive on Sat/Sun for the week will have already made their selections.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write it all out. It is helpful and I appreciate it.
