Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

When this was first announced I read this was possible but want to make sure people have been able to do this. We have 1 day park hoppers and a resort stay before our cruise. On my booking day I would like to book:

HS: LLM: Slinky, TSMM, Star Tours ILL: ROTR
MK (evening): ILL: Tron

Can I book all of those 7 days out or only the ones in HS? What order should I try to book them? TIA!

You can book all of these

Yes no problems with this combination. Initial LLMP are at HS, and you have to 2 LLSP selections; 1 at HS and 1 at MK. You should be able to purchase it all in your 5 Minute hold window for selections.

Just practice a few times with the App before your actual day of purchase and leave your MDE set on the Main menu (right most bottom Icon aka the Internet Hamburger Icon) 3 stacked horizontal lines.

When is your visit as that may change the suggestion a little?

Thanks so much! Oct 13. I know, a holiday Sunday. We’ve done Xmas day once but we smartly chose AK that trip. No idea how bad it might be but I’m expecting the worst because on-site hotels are pretty much sold out.

With a one day ticket SDD could be hard to snag, if you do it will likely be at night. Check Thrill Data the night before to gauge what you’ll be looking at for booking.

Good point. They will still have the 7-day window, but others will have 7+7, etc.

This! But grab whatever slinky dog you get, even if there time doesn’t work, then attempt to modify to an earlier time in the days leading up to your trip. If it doesn’t work out in the end just plan to rope drop it, or make it the one ride your willing to do standby if it’s really important to you!

Thanks, if we don’t get Slinky at 7 days out I’ll grab MFSR and then rope drop Slinky at early entry. Just trying to avoid too much backtracking, but hoping that the standby at MMRR won’t be too bad immediately after Slinky. I really wish they would make one of those rides tier 2. Having 4 tier 1 rides in a single park is too much. Slinky, MMRR and RnRC should be the 3 in my opinion.

Made my bookings this morning, and went much smoother than I expected. Got good times for my picks, all near each other in a good stack.

As far as making new selections in the park, is it similar to genie+ where I can use the tip board to prioritize a list? To make a new selection after scanning first ride?

Yes to some extent but there are some new differences. Your priority list is now Pinned to your My Day tab (right next to the tip board tab). You select your My Day tab and Customize it by hitting the "Get Started Now" button. Once you have your Day setup with Genie's help you can remove any tile that has the 3 dots in the top right of a tile.

You can Pin many attractions but they take up valuable screen space and will force you to scroll down. The recommendation is to keep this list updated and maybe limit your choices to 3 throughout your day and remove / add different favorites.

Our booking day is this Friday 10/4 and my parents arrive a day later than us, so they can book on Saturday 10/5 and I am booking theirs for them. If we are linked on MDE, can I just do theirs from my MDE account or do I have to log into my moms account? TIA!

If you mean as Friends & Family then Yes you should be able to book for everyone from your account.

Just check before Friday and Saturday that everyone is shown in your Guest list (linked to the correct resort(s)) and that when you actually try to book LLMP and/or LLSP that everyone shows up in your "possible" list to add to your LLMP and/or LLSP purchase.

Your Mom should also be able to see your LLMP and/or LLSP selections in her MDE as soon as you make your selections on Friday.

You can also check before Friday and it should show right there in the LL section of MDE in the Guest list the date their tickets are valid. This will allow you to verify that everyone is properly linked to tickets and resorts.

In this situation, a person would book their own passes on Friday and then would have book other people's passes on Saturday right? Since they arrive a day later?

Thank you! Yes, I have checked and everyone shows up on the list and our party arriving 10/11 it says we are eligible to book on 10/4 and under my parents names it says 10/5. So we should be good to go. Just wanted to make sure I can book theirs too from my account.

Now here's another question - if I am paying with a gift card, does it matter that I have my debit card saved on my account? I don't have to delete that do I? I am assuming it should give me a payment method choice, correct?

Hi!

Can I ask your strategy on how you are booking? We have the same situation, two members of our party arriving day after us.

Are you booking everything on Friday and then trying to get the same rides with similar times for your parents the next day?

Yes I will book for our party arriving first on Friday. then on Saturday, will try to get as close as possible to what we have, for my parents. They are a party of 2, so I am hoping it won't be as difficult. I will let you all know how that goes.

That's correct. I would add that in this situation the travel group should consider only booking 1 day on Friday and then wait until Saturday to book for the larger group.

It can be tricky to try to book overlapping LLMP and/or LLSP return times when booking on 2 different days.
