Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

That's not what I'm saying. What I was asking above was that technically I could book one for 10 o'clock in the morning but show up at 7 o'clock at night? That's considered okay? Though again I would never do that but I can't believe that is even allowed
You are not guaranteed entry if you show up past hour LLSP time. Guests have been turned away. The system works because you’re supposed to pick a time and show up in that window. Otherwise what is the point of the system. Can you imagine if everyone just blindly picked a time and then showed up whenever they wanted? There’s a modify button, so if the time your originally selected isn’t going to work modify. With new LLSP you can even modify to another ride!

Unexpected things happen, and in those circumstances sometimes, yes, it works out to show up hours late and not have an issue. But why chance it? And why misuse the system that way? Consider others, you took a time that may have worked for someone else.

Exactly, that's what I've been saying but it seems like It doesn't work that way for some.

👍🏻I’lll further add, with the exception of Gaurdians, all other rides with LLSP offer a standby line. If you don’t want to, or can’t commit to a specific time, use standby! Don’t clog up the LLSP line that other guests paid for and showed up for in their window because of your misuse of the system and how it’s intended to function.

Okay, off my soapbox now! That was my park PSA for the day !

Looks like everyone is having issues. Adrs are down too

1. I can't believe a company as big as Disney can have such a crap website and electronic processing system. Still blows my mind Disney doesn't have an app for DVC members.

2. on the same note, I can only imagine the amount of web traffic the Disney website gets. I bet it's massive and that would of course affect point #1

At least they now have a warning message before you go through all the steps of picking LLMP & LLSP.

System is messed up… been trying sice 7 am EDT and it can’t run credit cards, Rewards cards, or Apple Pay.
I am so sorry you have to deal with that. I hope it comes up soon (although at least it is down for everyone so you dont feel like people are booking while you are locked out). Have you tried using Pay Pal? I saw on the site it says it will work for "select flows". We have our booking window in a couple of weeks and thinking of getting pay pal as a back up if people are able to use it for booking lightening lanes.

If PayPal is a payment option, that would be excellent. The Chase Freedom 5% cashback includes Paypal starting Oct 1.

If a ride you have a LLMP for is closed during your window, say due to a new storm that's on the way, do you get a multi experience pass because of that and how long is it good for? We're at AK on Friday morning and the way it looks now our EE LLMP may not wind up getting used due to the weather. If we get a multi experience thing to replace it I'd like to use another day but can I, or is it only good that day?

I just confirmed with Disney chat that there is no way to link paypal to pay for mobile order or lightening lanes but she said this about the outage "Guests are beginning to have success with the Lightening Lane purchasing system. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the app and try the process again." Good luck everyone!

Only good for that day, in that park unless it goes down before closing. Then they usually give one for the next day to be used at any park (some rides, not included)

If you don’t like a post, please report if needed or keep scrolling. No arguing.

Please share your actual experiences. If you do not care for how the system works, this is not the place to share that. People are coming here to hear about actual experiences.

Does WDW even issue 9am (for the 9am-10am hour) LLMP return times for low demand Tier 2 rides? Like Living with the Land or Muppets? I've been looking at Thrill Data and it doesn't look like it but I wonder if I am missing something?

I kept checking randomly every 5-10 minutes and purchased LLMP/LLSP for our first day at 11:52 am CDT. The times that popped up were the same as the times offered on my multiple failed attempts. 🥰

I hope this is the correct thread to ask this question: We are from Scotland so cannot book LLMP until we are in the US. We arrive the day before our first park day in MK. Is there likely to be any availibility the day before?

When do you arrive? If peak season, might be tricky.

MDE in it's default configuration based your profile settings prevents International Guests from the advanced purchases of LLMP and/or LLSP.

An international member of the DIS @andrewilley shared some simple changes to your MDE profile and smartphone setting that should allow you to make up to 7 day advanced purchase of LLMP and/or LLSP for on-site stays and 3 day advanced purchases for Guests staying offsite.

Here is the last post where I summarize the input from @andrewilley if you want to give the changes a try and test.

Our first LLMP at MK was for 9:15 for PotC, so yes.

If you are looking for 9:00 on the nose, you have to look several days ahead. Thrill data shows that time is currently available for MuppetVision 3D for October 3 and later. All those 9:00 times have apparently "sold out" for the days before then. Still, there are 9:05 and/or 9:10 times available for the majority of those days.

As mentioned above, you can probably spoof the system anyway. But do you need to? It might be worth waiting in lines for 5 or 10 minutes more rather than paying $100's and being tethered to your phone all day.

If you are going for more than 7 days then perhaps wait until a day or two after you arrive, see what the reality is, and then spend the money of the future dates if you feel it is necessary. That's what we'll do. I think most of the current spend is just FOMO.
