Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

This has not been our experience on any of the ILL except Tron (and actually we never tried just read here.) We have consistently shown up hrs later for Guardians, FoP and Rise with no issue getting in and these were paid ILL. Not sure what Tiana will be like.
I'm glad that it worked for you but when I was there in May, i had to get refunded on one of them because the ride went down before we were ready to park hop so we knew we couldn't get back to that park to use it and this was a main complaint at the blue umbrellas. Saw some guests trying to get reimbursed because CM's at the ride (mainly tron) stated that they were very late for their individual lightning lane. Not sure how late they were at the time but when I book them for myself I make sure I'm there for the time I actually picked. I'm glad that it works out for others. But there really shouldn't be an issue for that anymore since now you can adjust your times on it if there's an available time for it. Tiana's virtual q anyway and hasn't shown that they're gonna turn this into an lightning lane single pass as of yet. So basically you can purchase this for a morning slot but then show up any time you feel like it afterwards?

I want to report a couple of things I experienced with LLMPs at WDW last week.

(1) You can absolutely get a refund if you haven't entered a park and haven't used your LLMPs. My sister was unable to come with me one day and I went to GET, who easily refunded her purchase.

(2) Be careful when you make your LLMPs for multiple people. My sister was sure she'd made the LLMPs at DAK for both of us, but, as it turns out, she'd made them for only herself. She just didn't realize it . . . probably because she never checks the price of anything or she would've instantly seen that the price for 2 people was way too low.

The weird thing about this was that I was able to tap in using a nonexistent MP (I had no idea it was nonexistent) at KS. The light turned green and I went through the line. I only found out I didn't really have an LLMP when I tried to make an additional MP after KS.

A CM later told me that the light might've turned green since I tapped in right after the person in front of me. That has never happened to me before--perhaps because when I'm in the LL or FP+ line, I have actually purchased it.

The way it was explained to me by a CM is that they are a bit more lenient when it comes to return times for vqs because you have no control on what times your given. Paid LLSP (where you can choose the time that works best) Unless you have some extreme reason on why you couldn't make it they are not lenient at all. It's mainly because you had the option of choosing the time that works best for you and hoping that you're picking the time so that it doesn't coincide with other rides or dining reservations.
Never in all the time since paid Passes started have we been turned away when entering late. You can not always book them around other things. That reasoning doesn’t even make sense. You may well book the paid pass before anything else. You may not know when you’ll be dining, for example. I wasn’t sure if things had changed with this newest version but in my first hand experience today they have not. As it was before, when scanning in the Mickey turned green. Exactly like it does during the passes window. No CM had to clear us or anything. I don’t ask if they are still valid. Just walk up and scan. Never been denied. I’m sure if I asked they’d likely say it’s not valid but in my opinion if their system says it is that’s all that counts

This happened in May (so prior to this new system) With genie plus individual lightning lane you couldn't purchase these till the day of so most people kind of knew their schedule at that point. I was not talking about the standard G+ where you had no choice and had to take first available

Tron has consistently been the exception for paid passes. It’s the only ride that seems to be programmed to cut off acceptance after the window closes. We’ve used ours on every other ride many many times after the window. Again, we don’t ask first. We just use them. Maybe those folks assumed they did not work?

I’m only talking about paid versions. The unpaid don’t work outside their windows. Never have. Paid have. Did in April on our last trip with the prior version. Did today with the new

Well like I stated, I've seen it happen in the past and I'm not going to take that chance. I always thought individual Lightning lanes is something that you choose the time that worked well with your schedule. If that's the case, why bother to even give scheduled times to begin with if you're just gonna show up whenever you feel like it.

You can’t show up whenever you feel like it. Only anytime after the window opens. You can’t book one for noon and show up at 9am

That's not what I'm saying. What I was asking above was that technically I could book one for 10 o'clock in the morning but show up at 7 o'clock at night? That's considered okay? Though again I would never do that but I can't believe that is even allowed.

I won’t begin to explain why they programmed their systems the way they do. Can only explain how it has worked for us. There are as many reasons why one may do it as there are guests at Disney. We’ve never done it intentionally but yes we have used passes several hours after the window closed.

When is the option to buy Lightening Lane Multi become available in MDE? Can you buy it before the 7 day window or not until you 7 day window opens? I have a room/ticket package purchased. Thanks
Only at the 7 day window or later but before your on-site stay begins. If you want to practice or see how the process works you always can see a 21 day view of the current calendar. You can pick any blue day in the calendar view.

Yes we have done that at Tron also, the Cast members are very accomodating.

Yes, that has been our experience forcthe 3 I mentioned. Which ILL ride were you turned away after your window had expired? I know Tron has always had stricter rules than the others, but if you have first hand experience on being turned away showing up late to a different ILL ride; it'd be helpful information for folks.

Yes, generally you can do this for most ILL. Tron seems to have ever been the only exception.

I think that may account for a lot of the different experiences. If you ask they say no. If you just try they work

Again, I was not the one that was turned away. I had to go to guest experience team to get a refund for an ILL due to being down and we were hopping to another park just as it came back on line. Other guests (looked to be one big group)were there complaining that they arrived late for the same ride (there time frame, the ride was up and running well before it went down) were also demanding their money back because cms refused to let them ride for being very late. I'm assuming the ride must have come up and they were trying to handle the guests that were returning during the time the ride went down and guests arriving for the current time which was making that line very long.
