Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

It's after I purchased my LL. Now it gives me a 910 on the first screen, but still changes it to 4pm when I click modify
We have had reports of this issue after your pre-arrival purchases are complete. The good news is that on your "day of" park visit you should be able to adjust times and have much larger overlaps for most LLMP attractions.

MDE LL logic acts like it can only modify for times after your last scheduled LLMP is that what you are currently experiencing? That's how a couple of DIS members have described this behavior.

? So...

U used the anytime one on another attraction

& then u we're blocked out of booking any additional tier 1 the rest of the day?

Makes no sense IMO
Yes they used their MEP on another attraction.

But then tried to book another LLMP for another park. That did not work since they had not actually tapped in to one of their regular LLMP selections to unlock the Tiers and Multi park selections. Once they tapped in to another LLMP all was well. That's what the GET CM explained to them.

Yes, I didn't even put two and two together but that's exactly what is happening. Thank you for explaining that.

My in laws had unused days on their park hoppers from about 20+ years ago. My FIL is working on getting them transferred into MdE for an upcoming trip.
Assuming they’ll be transferred in as non date based park hoppers….
If we are staying on site will he still be eligible to make MultiPass reservations with the rest of us 7 days out? Or will his tickets fall
Under the 3 day?

If they have an on-site room reservation, they can book 7 days in advance of the check-in date. But keep in mind, with those tickets, it's likely they'll need to book a park reservation to get in. But you probably already knew that.....!

Made our initial LLMP selections the other day for a 8night split resort stay.

After reading reports of how hard it is to rearrange time slots after purchasing I tried while purchasing.

Just wanted to report that even though the 5 minute allotted time doesn’t sound like much…it was plenty of time to rearrange time slots on all our selections.

I had enough time to throw some selections out to late afternoon so I could then get the better times for others that we really wanted, then had time to then fix the thrown out time back to fit into our morning times perfectly. I basically took my time (not rushing) and ended up with the exact time slots we wanted. (I had already pre planned our days, so knew what were looking for)

I booked 4 days of LLMP at 7am going in order of days (day 2 & 3, 7 & 8 of trip) and everything was available, even Tiana & Frozen. I actually threw Tiana & Frozen time slots out to later & both were still available when I tried to fit it back into morning slots (Tiana was day 3, Frozen day 7)

Granted it’s a slow time of year and I was so underwhelmed for paying for them, that I really didn’t care if I got them or not so was basically practicing for our December trip, but now I feel a little more confident for then…kinda

I just had to do this for my mother & father, they had the non expire old tickets. As long as they have a park reservation the system grabbed them automatically.

Was only going to include them for 1 day, but on our HS day the system grabbed my mother and I didn’t realize until after I’d booked everything..so she can either come or I can see if I can get a credit later.

Another thing, just an FYI, I guess I wasn’t thinking. My mother & father aren’t coming until the second half of our split stay. So when I was practicing the day before I noticed that system said unavailable to book them until 3 days before park visit. Luckily we had enough vacancies on our reservation to add them onto the first half of our resort stay so could book our LLMP all at the same time. IDK how easy it’d be to try to line LLMP time slots if I didn’t have room on reservation to be able to book them with ours.

So my lesson of the day, lol - better to practice day before just to see if anything needs to be fixed instead of wasting time day of

So you make park reservations before the tickets are in the system?

I have to call Disney again, because it looks like their tickets transferred in incorrectly. They had one 2 day park hopper, and also a 5 day park hopper. For some reason they only transferred into MDE as one 1 day park hopper.

They are arriving same day as us, and we are all on a Disney Resort, so I just need to sort out these park tickets and I guess figure out park reservations.

Okay, thanks. I guess I’ll wait until there tickets are in there accurately before I do anything further.

Hope you guys have a great trip. Thanks for your help! I hope the LLMP reservations all go in your favor 🤞🤞

Logically to the Guest it should not work this way but as system is operating currently and the number of DIS members reporting the same issue you experienced it sure looks like a bug or a bad design choice until "day of" use in the parks.

Sorry I know it's a dumb question but if my first day in the park is say the 5th of October when is it that I can start booking LL if I'm a resort guess the 28th or the 29th of September?

It goes by where you’re staying. If you are staying on site (or Swolphin/Shades of Green) you can book starting 7 days out from your check in day for the length of your trip, up to 14 days. If you are staying offsite you can begin booking 3 days prior to your park day, and you can’t book multiple park days at once, it’s always going to be 3 days before each park visit.

If you are staying at a WDW resort on-site, 7 days before October 5th is September 28th.

I realize why you asked this. I had the same question--is the day you arrive part of these 7 days? or what?

The easiest way to think about it is if you're on-site in a WDW resort, and your check-in day is a Saturday, then your 7-day-in-advance LLMP/LLSP day is the prior Saturday.

Actually, as long as you have dated tickets, you can book all of your park days 3 days prior to your first park day. It is only if you have undated tickets (AP and a few others) that you have to book day by day.

Tried looking on the website but they don't go into details. Does that mean if you pre-select 3 rides for the afternoon, you can't make any Lightning Lane selections until you've used at least 1 of your pre-selects?
My understanding is yes. You need to use one before you can get another. So it may be best to get one for the earliest time you think you will arrive.

That's correct. You can't book anything else until you've used the first preselected one.

BTW, all your LLMP preselects have to be in the same park. Your SPs can be in other parks.

Hi. Can you please type slowly and explain this to me since I will be booking in a couple of weeks for our 10 day stay LOL

Why did you put attractions out at a later time from the beginning?

Should I book everything and then go back and modify? Meaning pay and be done and then go back?
I'm not understanding the pushing the time further back and then modifying back to earlier.

Thank you SO SO much!

We just got back from our trip and I think we accidentally stumbled on a hack that I don't remember anyone mentioning, but apologies if this is already common knowledge. On our arrival day, we had figment booked from 8pm-9pm and went to ride it and it was down. No big deal, we just grabbed a snack and watched some fireworks. But, when I woke up the next day, in addition to the 3 passes I had booked, I had an anytime pass that was good for a tier 2 ride at any of the parks all day. We tested it and were able to use it on TSMM, no problem. I wanted to test this "hack" again the next day, and the Railway was down when I went to look in the afternoon and was done making passes for the day and I was still able to get a pass for 8-9pm. And magically, when I woke up the next day there was an anytime pass in addition to the 3 I had booked, and this time I was able to use it on tier 1 and 2 because Railway is a tier 1. So, it seems like if you have a pass booked for the last window of the day and the ride is down when the park closes, it gives you an anytime pass for the following day. Hopefully I articulated that right, we just got back from driving 14 hours home yesterday so I'm still recovering 😂
